Meet Brightland
6 years ago by
In an effort to save money for my wedding, and pounds on my body, Josh and I have been on a real kick of cooking at home. I enjoy it so much more than constant take out (less of an issue since we moved to Brooklyn but still) and besides the fact that the food is cleaner, it’s a great way of spending quality time together.
And I’ll say, the ingredient we use the most when we cook is olive oil. My passion for olive oil runs deep. My family is Italian, so maybe it’s in my bones, but I could seriously drink a bottle of the stuff and I’d happily slather myself in it. So when I met Aish from Brightland in LA a few weeks ago and she brought me some of her olive oil to try I immediately fell in love with her. She truly knows the way to my heart. And when I tasted her olive oil, I can say I’ve truly never tasted anything like it. It had so much flavor and such a nice finish and I had an epiphany that the olive oil we’ve been buying at the grocery store is actually disgusting and flavorless.
Aish explained that a lot of the olive oil we use is actually rancid. And the whole olive oil industry, especially in Italy, is totally corrupt (unless you’re getting it from the source, at a vineyard!). I was immediately fascinated and totally obsessed with her brand. She just launched at the beginning of June and her olive oil, which is all farmed in California, is not only yummy but the bottles are beautiful. They’re a happy addition to my kitchen, and my diet. Everything we’ve cooked with it just tastes better. And I’ll never ever cheap out on olive oil again.
Love it! Pocket Pardon My French Wedding update?!
