Things I’m Looking Forward to…
8 years ago by
…seeing, watching, participating – however you put it, I’m looking forward to them in the coming months!
One of my favorite books of last year, Submergence, is being made into a film! Its a love story, so tragically thrilling it stays with you for weeks even after you’ve turned the last page. Wim Wenders, the man behind little known films like Paris, Texas and Pina, has started production with studio favorite Alicia Vikander and James McAvoy. I suggest reading the book first!
There’s a new festival in town, and its called Panorama! Its art, its music, its technology. And one of my favorite bands of ALL time LCD Soundsystem is performing, you can be sure that is a day I will be sure not to miss. Plus a lineup of bands, small and large worth making the trip to Randall’s Island for this July in NYC.
Blackbird on Broadway. I’ve heard RAVE reviews about it – so many, you’d think it was actually a rave you were going to. Alas, it is quite the opposite, David Horrower’s play takes place in a deserted office where a woman has an uncomfortable reunion with an older man… I’ll leave the rest for you to read about. The production stars the mighty Jeff Daniels and quite force Michelle Williams. Hello engaging evening!
I’m scrounging for coins in every junk drawer and pretend savings to save up – and marking my calendar for dates, as I’m quick to forget most (scratch) things I really want to remember. Have you heard of any other exciting things coming to NY or your area we should keep a radar on??

Just been checking the tickets for Blackbird… Wow, the US are way behind in terms of online ticketing. Boradway could learn from European theaters…
“Submergence” sounds SO good! Alicia is a darling.

You had me sold at Wim Wenders. Love anything he chooses to film. I wish LA would get NY casts on plays. Don’t think I will be in NY for awhile but I am looking forward to finding new treasures in SF in May. Visiting cities are always exciting.
La foire à la pomme de terre (France-Loiret-45-Darvoy). Hahaha!
