Laser Focus

Non invasive but laser focused.?
I recently went for a laser treatment … on my face. Dun dun DUNNN! No, not the horrifying kind where you come out bleeding and a disgrace to society for trying to improve yourself. This was non-invasive. Painless! Far less painful than the laser I had done to my bikini line.
This laser is called Nordlys by Ellipse USA and the woman behind the wand is the lovely Lisa. Cool, calm and confident in her knowledge of the skin and ways to improve it non-invasively, I quickly trusted her and hopped on the table. It was over in approx 5 min. Seriously.
The laser treats sun-damaged skin, covering both vascular and pigmented aspects by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer (Woo!). The light is absorbed by the body’s own natural chemicals – melanin in the pigmented areas and hemoglobin in the red blood cells.
For the best results, I would need to go 2 – several times to help clear up uneven skin that’s been troublesome my whole life. But even that thought of spending serious money to hopefully be smooth skinned had me wondering, why aren’t we okay with just being us?? Have the last 30 years on earth been filled with discrimination and so much sadness? Or is it that we just want to be our best selves, no matter the cost??
I think it’s because society has become too judgmental, but if you did it because you really don’t like your hair, then fine. Sometimes it is best to leave well enough alone. People have been exposing ourselves to too much unnecessary chemicals and treatments. Our hairs are there for a reason. If someone doesn’t like how your hair looks, then tell them don’t look.
Really, some treatments are just not necessary but if you did it to help your self-esteem, then fine.
How much does something like this cost?
Fonce!
