Kate the Great!

She is BACK!!!!!!!!!
The ultimate style icon, Kate Moss, is pairing up once again with Topshop for 40-50 pieces to be released this spring. Thank GOD!!!
When Kate’s first Topshop collaboration came out in London in 2007, I was one of the thousands of people queuing outside of the building, desperate to grab any faux-fur gilet or ‘vintage’ flapper dress within reach. I am still coveting the infamous pansy tea dress that sold out in minutes (FYI, there is one remaining dress on Ebay being sold for over 100 pounds).
So three and a half years after Kate supposedly called it quits, she is back with a vengeance, creating new clothes, accessories and shoes (SHOES!!) that are inspired by her own personal wardrobe. As if we didn’t already know it, this future capsule collection shows that Kate will forever be a style icon (and forever a festival-goer’s inspiration), but do you think she is still as relevant as she was in 2007?

as long as you have style people want to imitate….i mean how much more relevant can you be?
welcome Tamar
Welcome Tamar! Thank you for the coolest news EVER! ;-)

She has chic style!

Welcome Tamar :-)
Is Kate still relevant? Good question because I asked myself the same when the news broke out. Her personal style hasn’t changed much over the decades (DECADES!) therefore I can see what her new collection would be like. The thing is, there are so many Kate look-alike (Emmanuelle Alt) out there, the style becomes uniforms.
If imitation is the ultimate compliment, I’d say yes Kate is still relevant.
I agree with 33! Kate has been looking the same for 20 years now, and there are thousands and thousands of copies of her out there.. But ok she is cool and beautiful, but I am not interested in her collection at all. Welcome Tamar!
Yes!! I’m excited! She’s one of my few style icons.
Cheers!

Welcome Tamar! Fashion news machines are always good :)) Looking forward to read more from you!
I’ve got a piece from her first collection that I never wear because of its low back and my tiny size (speaking plainly, you can see my butt crack when I’m being careless….) – but anyway, I still love it!

Cooool !!
Ps: Hi Tamar ! Cool name :)
Welcome Tamar !
J’ai trop hâte ! I love you, Kate !
I think Kate is overdone. However having said that, there is hardly anyone else out there who enjoyed such a large following (maybe Alexa Chung). Not many others have made their mark quite so distinctly. So understandably Topshop wants a safe bet. But I’m tired of her style – time to let someone else have a go.

woooohooooo!!! fantastic!
well done Tamar, xoxoxo A :)
Tamar, je te souhaite un bon stage!
KATE THE ONE AND ONLY!!!!
Getting a bit jaded with all these designer/model/blogger collabs all going on but this one I am excited about.
J’adore son style, ça me donne envie de faire 6 heures d’avion pour me pointer à Londres…

Kate Moss is no longer relevant. She’s got little sense of style, but has been very well marketed.

Perfect!!!
Kate Moss. Everyone seems to be obsessed by her. I need to get on my game!
She is gorgeous, though.
Hi Tamar!

New post over at–> http://www.androbelinsider.blogspot.com :)
Tamar, I have to ask: are you Armenian???
That Kate Moss has some serious staying power. Maybe you don’t love, or even like, everything she does, but in an industry that doesn’t always value a woman’s staying power, I think she’s a stand-out. I look at her career from the outside and think, wow.
I long for the days of models and not celebs being on magazine covers. Never a huge Kate fan but she’s got staying power and looks fantastic! I saw her one TV recently reading from I believe 50 Shades of Gray – it was hilarious and she was such a good sport. Her voice was as sexy as hell and that surprised me. Team Kate!
Well done Tamar, well done.
“Il n’y a que Kate Moss qui est éternelle” comme dirait Stromae ;)
Bisou !
Welcome Tamar. I like your writing so far. Also, thanks for identifying that tea dress for me. And LOVE Kate!
Welcome Tamar!!! I loveeeee your post almost as much as I love Kate Moss!
I think it’s gonna be one of those ”nothing groundbreaking, just the perfect basics” collections that nowadays every fashion personality seems to create when in collab, sorrynotsorry.
How many times can you recreate the same leather jacket? Of course, do not get me wrong, I love me some perfect basics and I am a sucker for jeans and t-shirts, but I don’t need someones name attached to it to remind me of its relevance. And honestly, even though Kate Moss will always be remembered as the heroinchic and nonchalant cool model she was… she is still a model. She was groundbreaking at that, but her fashion sense is not (anymore). She is not one of a kind. I’d rather see Miroslava Duma or one of our favourite streetstyle stars do a collection. Now, thát would be interesting.
