When my boyfriend and I have run out of TV shows or we can’t agree on a movie, our recent choice of entertainment has been the stand up comedy special.
Recently a friend recommended Ali Wong’s Baby Cobra on Netflix and I’ve since watched it 3 times. Wong is a writer on the ABC comedy Fresh off the Boat and her stand up is hilarious. I could recite about half of it for you but I don’t want to give anything away. She touches on everything from working, to marriage, to HPV, to having a baby…and it’s so just so honest that you will find yourself agreeing to a lot of the things she’s saying through tears of laughter.
Any other comedians or specials you’d suggest? I probably should find something new to watch…

YES i’ve been telling all my friends about baby cobra after watching it and literally crying from laughter all the way through. amy schumer’s hbo special is also pretty good if you’re looking for something along the same lines!
Oh my goodness! I also shared her comedy stand up on Netflix with all my friends. I saw her yesterday during a short but hilarious stand up at the Laugh Factory in LA. My abs still hurt from the laughter.
I LOVE Ali Wong! We were at UCLA at the same time and I am sooooo glad that the world gets to experience her witty and downright honest/dirty sense of humor.
OMG, she is hilarious. Not sure if I can recommend someone else equally amazing. Right after I watched her I went on a trip to China and just kept looking around at the men thinking…it’s like making love to a dolphin : )
Ali Wong is amazing! I’d recommend Iliza Shlesinger ‘Confirmed Kills’! & Jen Kirkman ‘I’m gonna die alone (and I feel fine)’ Both on Netflix :)
