We’re back with another week of Meet the Team minis. This week, you’ll get to know Natalie, who happens to be the one writing this mini in third person right now…hi!
Natalie Holme, Managing Editor
Do you have a nickname?
Nat, mostly. I have a friend who calls me Bratalie when I’m being a pain in the ass. I love a good nickname.
What’s your sign?
Capricorn. Virgo rising apparently, but I have no idea what that means.
Where are you from?
Born and raised in Toronto, high school years spent in the suburbs of LA.
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Thoughtful, indecisive, outgoing-introvert.
Describe what you do at Atelier Doré in one sentence.
I make sure we have everything we need for every post and I do my best to make sure it’s good.
Ideal weekend includes…
A few drinks, sleep, sex, movies, books, trying to make myself a better cook, some fresh air, a game of pool, petting other people’s dogs – any and all of these things with friends.
Favorite cocktail?
Dirty vodka martini.
Do you have a secret talent?
I’m really good at memorizing lyrics. And only mediocre at reciting them. That’s not really a secret though, I’m terrible at keeping secrets.
Craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Apart from sky diving, I rented a car when I was 20 and drove overnight to Ohio to spend a day boy I had met once. We dated for 3 years.
Describe your style in 3 words:
Cute, casual, confused (sometimes).
Favorite place you’ve ever been?
I have amazing memories of spending time in Canada’s cottage country as a kid.
Advice to your teenage self?
Don’t get the tattoo(s).
One thing you can’t live without?
Family, and the people who become such.
Hi Natalie:
Nice to get the person behind the talent – thank you for sharing.
I’m amazed to see that with all you’ve experienced you still rank Canada’s Cottage Country as a special memory. I love the highlands of Ontario – so spectacular – and I’m glad they’re still in your blood and bones. ;)
Cheers,
S.
Thank you! Nice to meet you too :) Are you from Canada? I feel very lucky to have those memories!
