A Case for Silver Pants

You know that TERRIBLE joke, “Are those space pants? Because your a** is out of this world!” …??
Well, maybe designers were feeling inspired to bring it back this season as they embarked on a directional decision to put silver pants in their Spring collections. It wasn’t just young designers either, staples like Isabel Marant and Loewe took part in the space odyssey.
While I don’t think these are an everyday wear, I do believe 5 (wait, 6!) designers must make a rule, right. Right?! And I’ve always loved a metallic pant, something has to mix up my growing black slack collection!
Will you venture to a new dimension next spring? And if not, how do you incorporate silver into your wardrobe?

My oh my, that’s too much. I could never pull it off and still look myself. I also have the feeling that it falls under the category “looks good on models ONLY”.
Silver for me is for a) jewelry and b) eyeshadow.

They’re a tad bit crazy, but I think it could work if you keep the rest super simple. The second pair looks absolutely gorgeous and would be perfect for casual wear with a simple white shirt.
And they immediately reminded me of David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardus era – which is a great look imo.
