Deb Watson’s Guide to Gifting
6 years ago by
In the spirit of, well, 2017 as a whole, we approached this year’s gift guide with a certain thoughtfulness. Who and what are we really inspired by? And in what can seem like a never ending list of “people to buy gifts for” how can keep things personal and conscious while still being gratifying? Separated into three categories – family, lover, and friend – we had three amazing creatives contribute their top gift picks for each. Kicking things off is an Atelier Doré favorite, Deb Watson. She’s a stylist, a family woman, and a true (very well dressed) force to be reckoned with. Here guide to gifting, below!
For My Family: Cook Beautiful & Westwind Orchard provisions. A gorgeous and stylish cookbook by the lovely Athena Calderone who makes cooking look effortless and stylish at the same time, accompanied by hand crafted goodies made with love by my friends, Laura & Fabio, at their farm in the Hudson Valley.
I am boycotting gifts and have decided for each person on my list I will make a donation in
their name to a charity I have chosen for each person . Therefore my niece is the World Wildlife Fund , my sister in law Breast Cancer ect! We have so much we can share the wealth !

I hope you didn’t pull my name from the hat. I think you can share your wealth and still buy a few presents.
I do have to say that Athena’s book is truly gorgeous. One of the most beautiful books I’ve seen in a while! Great recommendation for gifters! xx
