Unpublished / Chioma

It’s winter break!!! And for the break, I’ve put together a little selection of photos I’ve never published. You’ll get to see some pretty cool stuff I found. It’s never too late for a good photo!!!
Here’s an image of Chioma, the first time I met her. Still today I remember it well. It was at a fashion show and it was the first time I’d ever seen her. She was so sweet I ended up asking her to pose for my camera for way too long!
What really gets me though is that in the craziness of fashion week, I had completely forgotten about this photo.
And since then, we’ve gotten coffee, seen each other at all the fashion weeks (Chioma works at Vogue) and we even got breakfast together last Saturday with some mutual friends. So when I started looking through my archives for my unpublished photos, I was shocked to find Chioma.
I remembered just how much I love Chioma and have since the very start. (And for her fantastic mix of plaid and floral, of course!!)

A moment of summer in this winter day… :)

Reviens Garance…
Bisous et Joyeux Noël !

I love her look. Really it takes guts to try and to pull off such a multi-pattern look, Garance you always spot the best dressed people :)

Ha! I just skimmed the comments on the earlier photos of Chioma and saw that I had posted a comment on her before. I am glad she has reappeared on your blog. Chioma’s so beautiful! Have you done an interview with her in which she might care to share her beauty tips? Also, I wonder what are her favorite accessories and what does she do at Vogue?
I designed that bangle! Love Chioma, she was my editor as a style contributor to Fader Magazine. She has always been one of my main supporters of my line, TNEMNRODA. Great shot as always, Garance!

Hiii,
I just spent the last four hours on your blog, love every piece of it. You inspire me a lot (no sucking up). Just moved to Paris and a blogger too (if I dare say so). I love the spirit of your blog, if only I can let go and be free like you in blogging. Ok, no more rambling…xoxo
She has a fantastic bone structure!

she seems awesome!
Oh yes, so beautiful and the mix of prints is so very inspiring! Love.
awesome look….
This is an incredible pairing as the colors are nothing short of striking. That blouse really caught my eye. For those who think fashion is all about standing out and making a statement this is certainly a winner. Then there is the photo, which is quite nice as well.
C’EST CHIC! Comme toujours avec Chioma :).
Thank you for showing a woman of color!!!
J’adore cette tenue!
I love her style, her look and how she is, pure beauty!
LOVE THIS!!! The nice fit of the pansy, the bold colors, and the perfect compliment to her beauty. I also love the belt. Something about a skinny belt on a tailored high rise pair of clacks thats always class.
