Is it me or does it look extremely wintery? I can’t say I don’t like it though, I’m all for season-less dressing. I absolutely love the hair and make-up, it’s pretty but full of personality.

YSL a revolutionne la mode feminine en la masculinisant jusque ce qu’il faut. Une lavalliere portee avec un chapeau a larges bords, sur cheveux longs, c’est moderne et classique en meme temps. J’adore !

I’ve been waiting to see the debut of Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent. I really like it: chic with touches of masculinity, but am not impressed. It didn’t wow me as Stefano Pilati’s did. Maybe next collection?

Peut-être HS a-t-il simplement compris que l’été n’était plus une saison chaude et ensoleillée et a-t-il dessiné les silhouettes de son défilé en conséquence: une capeline pour la pluie, de longs gants pour nous donner l’illusion d’être en manches courtes sans pour autant avoir froid aux bras…
I loved how he seemed to be going back to YSL’s roots. However, I do think the collection was a little overhyped. I guess playing with hype is like playing with fire.

Je ne sais pas mais … Je trouve la collection plutôt pas très convaincante d’après les photos. Je m’attendais à quelque chose d’un peu plus … Yves Saint Laurent quoi. Plus dans la robe élégante noire et sexy, avec des couleurs vives, des jupes dévoilant des jambes interminables etc etc … M’enfin il faudrait voir peut être voir toutes la collection pour émettre un jugement.

What a big meh! I was waiting for this show for so so long…and it seems so déjà-vu! Cool-factor is undeniable but I was expecting something definitely more Hedi! Should I be waiting for the couture line maybe?? (I realize I am the grumpy one, so sorry haha by the way, your pictures are great as usual!)

For me this collection had so many beautiful elements, but I felt like I like it for right now, autumn rather than for spring 2013, it had too much of an autumnal feeling, perhaps live in wasn’t so much so.

I love the rock&roll à la française look, a little masculine makes it sexy, I agree with Silvia on the déjà-vu and maybe not so great for Summer anywhere in Europe apart from the UK where it’s always breezy so perfect for us here in London ;-)

But Garance, what did you think of the collection?
I think this collection is a little similar to the past Dior Homme collections by Slimane, but I always love his style!
