Spring Trench!

“Spring, spring, spring…”
The onset of spring is basically all I can think or talk about (I know, weather – what a stimulating topic of conversation!). But seriously, after the winter we never thought would end, I am so excited about swapping out my huge coats for a lighter change.
And one of my favorite spring pieces is my lightweight trench coat. I adore them, they look so great and are really easy to throw on over a dress or jeans like Noor’s look. It’s just that little bit of extra shelter in case a bit of wind hits and it creates a chic silhouette, but it’s not cumbersome and won’t overheat you on a warmer day. Mine’s all dry cleaned and ready to go!

Trench is my favorite. And nice grey heels instead of my big heavy winter boots! Love that it’s spring at last :) like a fresh breeze
C’est tout bête, mais savoir comment s’habiller le matin c’est bel et bien lié à la météo ^^. J’ai un trench du Comptoir des Cotonniers très structuré, mais je m’en suis vite lassé … j’aimerais en avoir un plus long et assez fluide comme ceux de Zara. A voir ! La photo est superbe au fait ;) great style !

Vive le printemps! Je suis aussi excitée à l’idée de troquer mes manteaux (même si je les adore) pour des petites vestes plus légères (mon autre passion vestimentaire). Ma veste préférée est un perfecto en faux daim bordeaux, je l’ai trouvé par hasard chez H&M, il y a trois ans. Le trench, c’est pas trop mon truc, mais j’aime beaucoup sur les autres. Je ne suis pas très grande donc je préfère les blazer, les perfecto et autres petites vestes du genre. En ce moment, je cherche justement ma nouvelle veste pour le printemps, j’aime beaucoup les manteau droit léger un peu masculin, mais j’en aimerais un dans une couleur pastel genre rose poudré ou bleu ciel. Je cherche aussi le parfait perfecto noir. Il y a tellement de choix, mais presque trop car j’en veux un simple et j’aime moins les détails qui font trop rock. Des idées où trouver ce graal? Je viens aussi de commander un blazer court pour tester ce que ça donne sur moi. Bref, je suis en pleins changement de style pour le printemps. ^^

I love a well tailored trench coat. It gives a polished look but can look pretty edgy and bad@ss when worn with the appropriate accesoires. I think with a trench one cannot go VERY wrong, unless if significant effort is put to this end. Mine is beige, with a tone very similar to the one in the picture, rather shorter and a wee bit thicker. I wear it with huge scarves and jeans, over my suits, with pearl earings, with cowboy boots, you name it. Actually, just got it from the dry-cleaner’s too today and I’m waring it with a tailored cocktail dress and heels :)

Ouch…all I can think of is bare feet…on a trench-coat weather… I am freezing just from looking at the picture.
I love my khaki Banana Republic trench that I purchased 2 years ago. I just purchased the J. Crew hooded navy trench on line, it should be here by weeks end. I really want to love it…hooded is essential for April Showers…
My beloved trench was actually a buy in Australia about five years ago from a label called Country Road. I adore it – can’t wait to bring it out! When we were talking about good places to buy trench coats, a couple of the girls in the studio mentioned Banana Republic!

Aaaah le retour du printemps ! Une obsession pour beaucoup d’entre nous je pense :) Je ne suis pas tres trench, que je trouve tres classique. Plutot en mode blouson quand le solein se pointe et fait remonter un peu les températures !
I love it ! Found this great vintage, lightweight trench this winter. Its perfect ! little feminine details, more like a painters coat but the khaki color and slightly puffed sleeves. I’m going to wear it with everything – jeans, denim skirts with ballet flats, White dresses…possibilities are endless.

One question, why pair a trench with that shoe? I know it’s silly to bring up practicality and fashion. We all know it sometimes takes a mild discomfort for a fantastic look, but the shoe needs to fit the season. If you need a coat and a big scarf, then wear a pump, a boot or some other kind of closed shoe. I liked it when women paired spring heels with socks, but please no toes until the sun returns.
My favourite spring coat is… a trench coat! Actually, the trench coat that I bought at Sportmax a couple of years ago. It’s perfect :)
