I’m so sick of the raiiiiinnnn!!!
I feel like spring is never going to come.
I’m telling you, I know what’s going to happen… We’re not going to have a springtime and we’re gonna go straight from winter to summer we’ll sweat right through our tank-tops praying for a breeze to come save us.
I wrote that yesterday and apparently that’s exactly what’s happening today in New York !
So annoying, especially because I am so on top of it when it comes to springtime trends, like take these for example:
A new invention made just to mess with girls’ heads like me who don’t have abs (or at least, our abs are well insulated) pffff. I have, of course, decided to ignore this trend.
And I mean, why would anyone older than 12 ever want to wear a cropped top, right? (she says, picking her bruised ego up off the floor.)
Grunge 1/ Grunge
Of course, yes, I love grunge. I want to totally take on grunge. Grunge is mine. Let’s see…
I have a pair of torn up black totally +++ pants (Are they grunge or maybe just end of stock from the Mango in Ajaccio?)(Answer: Fine. End of stock from Mango in Ajaccio), a Phillip Lim I love New York t-shirt with the heart upside down from his grunge collection (is this one grunge or crypto-punk?) AND as you know I totally missed my chance with Dries Van Noten and Céline Birks.
I think I’ll get myself back in the game with some real Birks but I can’t figure out if I should go with black or white. What do you think?
Grunge 1/ Plaid
I already told you that I missed out on the whole Dries collection! Those are the only ones that make me want to break the bank for some plaid. All that’s left to do now is to steal Lara’s stuff.
Grunge 2/ Flowers
Mmmmm, not so interested.

Okay team, I’m SUPER ready for this one. I have so many pairs of pink pants, and a pink shirt I can wear them with. I know, it’s kind of a lot, but ever since Kim K pulled off her head-to-toe (Could you put together a more head-to-toe look than this one here?)(Seriously though, I’m not making fun of her or anything. I thought it was a cool outfit)(Honestly, I think it was cool.)(Why doesn’t anyone believe me?) at the Met, I’m much more comfortable with a head-to-toe ensemble.
Back on topic: Long live pink.

Yep, you read that correctly. Mods! 60s Mod like the Marc Jacobs collection this season. Beautiful on the runway. The one trend all magazines didn’t know what to do with and went with a “Who is Polly Maggoo” editorial?

As we speak, I’m getting rid of everything that isn’t white from my closet. Okay, I’m exaggerating, but just not really. Ok. Yeah. I’m exaggerating in the way that I I’m terrible at getting rid of much of anything from my closet. But : love white.
Voilà, and that’s my special “I have zero personality” recap of spring trends. There might be some missing but as you know, this ain’t no Style.com.
Next time if you’d like, I’ll talk to you about my actual style, like my totally fresh of the press style. Yep. I changed some stuff AND am experimenting with a few things and it all brings me such fashion JOY… Trends just add a little fun to all that.

I’m’ down with the crop top the trick is to wear a high waist skirt or pants. I’m all for white, my nails have been white for the past month. Leather uh no I live in South Florida and don’t want to have a heat stroke. Floral sure. Pink Yes! Sheer Hell YEAH! Ruffles Maybe… Grunge we’ll see.

I’m also in to pink this season. Loving the ombre pink cashmere sweater that the Elder Statesman did for J Crew.
I think white is trend for everyone this season. Crop tops not so much, not for anyone.
I’m into the floral trend, I think there are some pretty dresses on the market that have awesome floral prints.
I’m also into the overall trend. I purchased a pair of boyfriend-esque overall shorts from Asos and I’m kind of loving them. Anyone else into that trend right no? Garance, you spoke about your love for your leather ZARA ones the other day.

*Plaid (Dries) via Zara, mixing it with sweatshirts (Dries and otherwise)
*Grunge – not quite, but I fell hard for some of the NY Phillip Lim tops, and got a toned-down version, where it’s ‘cut up’ with silk chiffon (so the NY is not as obvious) (I have a pic of it here: http://brigadeirochoc.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/recent-buys-ps-free-shipping-at.html)

I too LOVE ruffles. There’s something super girly about them that just speaks to me. Pink- I’m adapting more to this trend but wear more coral or super bold shades. White- love but realized that I don’t wear enough white, I’m getting on that. Grunge- I want to be grunge but I love ruffles too much. So, I think I’m going to mix in grunge and leather with my feminine pieces, and then, bam, there ya go.

Hahahaha you made me laugh so much about girls with insulated abs and crop tops. So true! However I have not adopted any of this seasons trends just for the sake of not going back to the 90s. Grew up watching my older brother’s girlfriends going through that phase and I personally despise grunge. Although I do LOVE white on white on white on white, I wouldn’t be able to adopt this trend since I live in Bogotá, Colombia and it rains like crazy during may and june so imagine a white t-shirt contest only with one contestant down the street. QUEL SPECTACLE!

J’adore la tendance rose (je ne’aurais jamais pensé dire ça, je n’ai jamais beaucoup porté de rose), et le blanc ce n’est pas possible d’y échapper! Et ma tendance préféré est le cuir, surtout le cuir coloré!

Pour moi ce sera assez limité cette année / Le blanc et le rose OK mais en réalité j’ai toujours eu ces 2 couleurs dans ma garde robe – le grunge fleur bof bof mais celui à carreaux OK via Zara assez Dries en fait – J’ai loupé le TShirt de P. Lim aussi – Par contre pas de trucs transparents, de volants ou de Mods – Ah si j’ai adopté récemment la salopette en jean (mais je pense que j’ai un an de retard sur la tendance…) Quant au Cropped top la seule personne que je connaisse qui l’a adopté c’est ma fille 15 ans, 1,78 m et un ventre plat comme une table – mais c’est vraiment limite avec son père on trouve qu’elle est déjà trop vieille pour ca ;-)))
I jumped on the white shoe trend (Gianvito Rossi point toe pump in my case) early and still not over it… so perfect with all colors of boyfriend jeans. Oh and white jeans of course, I love R13’s shade of white that’s more milk and less white-out. Also into the silk trench trend (although not so much in white – too lab coat, IMO) but haven’t found my perfect one yet. I love everything Dries and also missed that boat, although there are still a few places online that have the jackets in the pattern Lara is wearing in stock in small sizes… but I can’t quite justify the splurge. I will however splurge on those perfect Chanel espadrilles if I ever find one in my size! Leather for summer???? I mean, I live in NYC too and it’s far to hot here to even think about leather in the summer. Short skirts however (not the tight mini kind but the gently flared ones, like from Sandro or Phillip Lim) are somewhat more reasonable. Finally, I love love transparency, but it’s so hard to pull off gracefully, so I’m with you there…

Usually I am with you against crop tops, HOWEVER. A crop top with a high waist, revealing an innocent strip of upper abdomen….makes me reconsider.

Bah moi comme d’hab, j’ai dévalisé Isabel Marant. Pas super original, mais je lui suis fidèle depuis ses débuts et comme elle fait une mode hors mode finalement, je mixe ses collections d’années en années. Sinon le grunge, oui, moi aussi je ne vais pas me remettre d’avoir rater les trucs Dries (je suis passé au Printemps auj, mais il n’y a vraiment plus rien !) (peut-être que Lara mettra sa veste en vente chez les Ginettes :-)) (je me console avec mes kimonos et mes chemises à carreaux) et je commence grave à lorgner sur Saint-Laurent. Le cropped top on oublie tout de suite ! Le blanc ça ne me va pas ! Les volants quand on a des seins c’est pas top top. Sinon je m’éclate avec les mixe & match d’imprimés.

I am in SE England and praying for spring! If it ever arrives I will be going sheer and if it doesn’t I can always layer it again with a couple of jumpers like I am doing right now. And slippers, because it’s still so cold!
If you don’t want to do black/white birks (white I believe only comes in suede and will get too dirty) try taupe or this new velvet gray which is really nice. Oh and get the soft foot bed. Soooo comfy. I think crop tops look silly on anyone older then 16. . but that’s just my opinion. . .

I got myself a pair of white platform sneakers and I’m really happy about them, I owned a pair in 94 and I don’t feel too ridiculous wearing them. I indulged myself with the Obsedia bag by Givenchy, a pair of jeans and a Vans tee!

birk noir pour débuter l’été et ensuite on passe aux vernis blanches une fois les pieds bronzes .

trop froid trop humide = mix & match de cachemire ,de slim , de cuir,de chale et de superpositions douteuses pour se réchauffer.
je me sens moche et pas stylée mais impossible de porter une fringue de printemps sans attraper une pneumopathie . raz le bol de cet hiver qui n’en finit pas . 10 degres en journée !

Au moindre petit rayon de soleil qui se point ici, je lutte contre une envie folle de sortir mes gambettes et de me pavaner le bide à l’air (non quand même pas). Ce temps est super bizarre ! 9C hier à Paris, 25C en Norvège chez mon père ??!!??? Y a un truc qui est vachement pas normal !

J’ai tellement de fringues d’été, mais à cause de ce temps de merxx, elles restent toujours dans l’ombre de ma vie… alors en ce moment ma tendance est “l’accessoire”, boucle d’oreille, collier et bracelet, quelque chose d’originale que je cherche souvent.
