I absolutely adore this house. And I can tell you that from the heart, because I just spent one of the best weekends of my summer there. Yes, Anthony, whose Hamptons house we’re showing you today, is one of my friends. One of these friends that’s perfectly cool and perfectly smart and perfectly funny and also has perfect taste. I love it, because I love that he didn’t change the house too much. He just went about making it his own.
Painting, rearranging, thinking about the best hang out spots, the best private spots, adding cool art (some of it his own cause, yeah, he’s also a good photographer) sometimes getting a bit obsessive with some stuff (as one should), like with this really cool fridge he had painted in the color he wanted (seems easy? It’s not, an auto body shop has to be the one to do it) or his perfectly scaled Badminton court (seems easy? Yeah ok, ok, it’s not that difficult)(but it’s still crazy!!!) – so anyway, I love this house cause it’s exactly how I would do my own.
I wish we had a photo of him, but he’s a busy man and was not there when we shot the house (sorry about the giant banter we pulled that night Anthony !!!)(ok kidding) – SO, we will HAVE to shoot his New York apartment soon, with him in it. What do you think?

Spectacularly and simultaneously welcoming, stimulating, inspiring and – as one of your readers so beautiful expressed it, “an invitation to meditate”.
I especially adore that super-shiny ceiling… it enhances the simple lines and gorgeous colours, and – because it’s like being in an upside-down pond, with the water always above your head, makes me feel like I am still outdoors (not sure why it just does!)
One of the best places I have seen. Certainly not minimal but feels calm and welcoming. Love the fridge idea but would love to know the story behind the Saltiest Captain award. How can one take part in Salty Pants Olympics? That’s my kind of sporting event. There are probably tons of stories behind everything in that house. Love it!
