I love Amanda Brooks‘ apartment and her eclectic mix of prints and textures.
I love her clashing objects, her tons of books, the giant colorful paintings by her husband, Christopher Brooks, her family photos, family photos tagged by her friends, the wonderfully bright kitchen and her sublime dog. It feels like how life should be.
I’m sure you recognize Amanda, you see her all the time here. She has an amazing style and is the author of the book “I Love Your Style” and the eponymous blog, which is a gold mine of vintage photos.
I wanted to take some shots of her apartment before she leaves New York – she’s about to take a year to work on her new book in the English countryside with her husband, her kids, and her dog.
We’ll see her again soon!

The blue and white painting on the wall is somehow very pleasing and uplifting. I love her dining table and the furniture in her bedroom. But as you said it’s especially cool because the interior really feels like it’s lived in.

Toujours beaucoup de clartê dans tes photos, comment fais tu pour rendre tes photos si lumineuses? … Bon en même, si tu me l’expliquais je n’y comprendrais pas grand chose, je n’ai pas d’appareil photo et je n’y connais pas grand chose.

Very eclectic mix, but works so well. Very light airy looking apartment. It’s good how some people can mix lots of different styles but still make a place look uncluttered. I love the geometric print chair on the 5th photo.

Thanks for showing us Amanda’s apartment. I love her book “I love your style”, so it was fun to see her interior decor style. The leopard print pillows are surprising. I do like the clash of prints, though. It’s a fun apartment.

Amazing photos! The decoration of her house is so chic, effortless and easy to live with! Love the color block paintings featuring turquoise, it adds color and light to the house. Like you said, something about her house just feels like it is how life should be
