Julia’s Brooklyn Abode
7 years ago by
When I asked Julia Sherman for photos of her kitchen in preparation of the recipe story we shot with her in May, I shouldn’t have been surprised to discover her Brooklyn home was as colorful, interesting, and drool-inducing as her salad creations are. I quickly begged asked for more photos of the rest of the house, and with her consent, pushed the shoot up an hour so Pia could capture it in all it’s vibrant glory. With a kitchen (and a garden!) like that, I can imagine how quickly culinary inspiration can strike. Thank you for having us, Julia!
I used to be the graphic designer for the German fashion brand mint&berry for several years and we shot part of our campaign for Spring Summer ’15 in this incredible flat. Nice to see it published again here, it is actually a great surprise!

Without an outdoor reference this lovely home could be any where , with an old world sensibility and a new world palette . Seldom do we see such an effortless feel . This sense of comfort and calm with a sense of balance . The design equivalent of mindfulness !

Oh gosh, that garden oozing grace and peace, and her pink accented living room with that ochre and blue painting… it made my heart sing. Thank for this!
