The other day, @camilleeddera @melanieplassart and I had a crappy day, in the midst of a crappy week, in the midst of a… We were finding ways to laugh about ourselves through it though, via text and phone calls and Instagram meme sharing, bonding over the seven rings of BS we were going through, each of us on our side of town. . And then at some point Camille was like oh come on, enough! Let’s go to the ocean. They jumped in their car, came to pick me up and we went to the nearest beach, Venice, and literally threw ourselves in the waves. . It ALWAYS works. I don’t know how, but it ALWAYS does. The fresh water, the gigantic California sun, the surfers around us, the kids playing around, she smell of iodine and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. . Like a giant emotional clean up. . We stayed there until it got cold and the ocean absorbed the sun, took seven million photos and giggled our way back to my house, had rosé and whatever was in my fridge, and talked about our lives and our heroic endeavors ? . The day after, with fresh clarity, we all made new decisions. And reminded ourselves how grateful we are for nature and for friends. And wine ? . Happy weekend guys!!! Remember to get out!!!
