Pocket Pardon My French – Quarantine...
I’m 64…married for 33 years to a man I adore. I have always peed or pooled in private…I had secret electrolysis sessions for stray hairs he never got to see….he’s never seen see me dye my hair, or even put on mascara. A friend of mine who is a therapist, told me many years ago…don’t ever complain about your appearance in front of your S.O. « Believe me », she said. « He doesn’t wanna hear it. » I took her advice to heart. Since then he doesn’t know anything he doesn’t need to know or see anything he doesn’t need to see. We are childless by choice…and we do have separate bedrooms. Maintaining some mystery can go a long way.
The toenail conversation made me cringe. LOL the struggle is real…
