It’s about to get really really cold here in New York (hello, polar vortex!), so I’m already dreaming about weekend breaks to somewhere tropical…
To prepare for those warm defrosting beach escapes, I’ve been on the lookout for a new weekend bag. The perfect bag for short trips can become a friend for life, so I want to be able to take it anywhere. It needs to be versatile and timeless… and also fit at least my swimsuit and a toothbrush.
This 3.1 Phillip Lim 31 hour bag is just the right size for a couple of nights away. It’s a classic shape, and the zip details add extra character so no mix-ups at the airport.
So, now to decide between Miami and LA for Thanksgiving… maybe both???

Super chic understatement weekender for thanksgiving and other trips again, again, again…! I would choose LA for hideaway.

moi c’est terrible, mais quand je pars en weekend, été comme hiver, je jete 3 affaires et ma trousse makeup dans mon panier en osier géant, en mode Jane Birkin. Bon du coup, j’hiver j’ai l’air d’une romano, mais en été, tout le monde trouve ça charmant !

Dans le genre pratique et élégant j’aime mieux le pliage de Longchamp version cuir…(en plus il se décline en plusieurs tailles tu pourras adapter à la longueur du séjour …)
The bag is nice but the leather seems way too delicate to not end up completely destroyed after a couple of trips, so not a very practical choice it seems!
Miami for sure or San Francisco, I would avoid LA. :)

i obsessed over this bag for ages, i finally went to have a look at it on a closer level and discovered it has no interior lining. apart from that i am still obsessed and consider it a great weekender or work bag (for your 31hr work days) and would love if 3.1 stepped it up and had it lined in the future.
