Those Tights!
8 years ago by
I love a fun stocking!
And have been known to wear some odd ones, most generally from Wolford actually, they seem to get it. Maybe they even get me. But when I saw the intricate sequined & flower embroidered stockings at No.21, my eyes widened – so beautiful AND delicate!
They seem to have just the right amount of bead work happening, without overpowering the very fine hosiery. No.21 is great at this by the way – those little details, the impressive embroideries, and tiny pockets I’ve come to love since Alessandro Dell’Aqua took over.
Practical? Depends who you ask. But I say, it’s not an everyday wear, you space it out – for special occasions or occasions when you just want to feel special.
Are you on the train to spicing up your sheer tights game?
J’adore le concept! par contre j’ai une petite réticence au côté “plissé” des collants :/

Well, fun tights are a bit tricky to integrate into your outfit so I’m usually too lazy to do that. :)

I can’t stand wearing tights. They rip so easily on me. Just a hassle to wear. Sometimes I see the benefit in wearing them but logistically so annoying.

Love the embellishment, but look how saggy they are! That would drive you crazy!

Sheer tights are the norm in the US whereas patterned and coloured tights are quite normal in Europe.
Living in Europe, I occasionally go against the tide and do an American Apparel dress with nude tights. However, nothing beats a patterned Wolford tight with a simple black dress and an easy pearl necklace.
Love it! ;)

I love them, but I don’t think they will look any good in real life. The tights are so fine whereas the embroidery is quite heavy – you can see how they crease around the knees and ankles even on these photos. And although it looks alright as a part of this poetic look the designer was aiming for, in reality it will just look sloppy.
