The Del Val #45

If you know someone with a coffee table, which of course you do, this would be an excellent place to go to today or tomorrow to get them something beautiful to put on it.
“Google” long ago became a verb. Here are the highlights of what we all collectively googled in 2014.
And while on the subject of looking back at the year, here are the 15 best music videos from 2014. Still an unparalleled way all these years later to mass market an act…provided the videos remain free to consume. Just so it all leads to bodies in the seats at concerts, right?
You know how some trailers essentially give you the whole film? Think that might be the case with this one featuring Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, and Natalie Portman.
In our fantasy-world only people with discerning taste would make the decisions. As we don’t reside there, the next best thing is to hear from someone like designer Tomas Maier regarding what he thinks is important, as in this case: the care of Japanese architecture.
Here’s taste of another kind, as in delicious. The holidays are here (followed closely mind you by New Year New You campaigns) and it’s time to eat, but to hell with gaining weight these next few weeks and punishing yourself in January. Gift a gift to yourself and your family and friends with these healthy and mouthwatering recipes.
Everyone knows we all love to celebrate new celebrities, and then watch them crash and burn, leave the spotlight for some time, and then rise up to do it all over again. It’s the circle of fame that must be endured if one seeks that life. When you’re on the last part, like Sienna Miller currently is, poking fun of yourself like she does here speeds the process along.
It ain’t cheap, but if you have an idea for a piece of furniture that you want to be uniquely your own, here’s your man.
A weekly round up of the best links from Delphine & Wes Del Val.
Love Tomas Maier for his unique design work at Bottega Veneta. I didn’t know about his advocating for japanese architecture. Thanks a lot for thas interesting report!
A great pic this week!
The video on Japanese modernist architecture is super interesting, the video on Sienna Miller’s life hilarious, thanks and Merry Christmas!
A great pick… Sorry for the typo.
Considering the trailer is for a film by Terence Malick, I’m not surprised: He is not concerned with plot, so I’m sure he wouldn’t care if the trailer gave it away.
Always great choice….
