Haven’s Kitchen Sauces
5 years ago by
I’m a beginner cook. I’m working on it and I enjoy it, but I still have a lot to learn.
I also don’t have a lot of time. By the time I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is spend hours in the kitchen. I’m much more into a quick stir-fry moment, throwing together whatever veggies and protein I can find.
The next dilemma of this cooking drama is that, to avoid having to ingest super bland zucchini or super dry chicken, I’ll end up making a complete mess of my kitchen, combining every jar of sauce in my fridge and cupboards, to concoct a “homemade marinade.” I can assure you that what I end up with is neither homemade nor a marinade AND, just tends to leave 18 more bowls for me to wash and sticky spots all over my counter. In effect, fully negating my intentions of a “quick” and “easy” dinner.
That’s why, when my friend, Maddie, told me about Haven’s Kitchen Sauce, I was immediately intrigued.
I tried them… and was hooked.
They come in these cute little pouches, with seriously fresh ingredients (and also happen to be vegan + gluten-free)! There are five different flavors–Zippy Chili Harissa and Gingery Miso Sauce just launched last week. All you have to do is squish them into your saute pan alongside literally whatever it is you’re cooking. If you’re stuck for ideas, they even offer a bunch of simple and yummy recipes on their website here.
The company’s tagline is “cooking with confidence,” and though it sounds cheesy, knowing I can count on HK Sauces as my trusty little kitchen sidekick, makes me feel infinitely more confident come dinner time.
