Gun Control
5 years ago by
In the wake of last weekend’s mass shootings in the US, not only are our hearts and minds with the victims and their families, our voices and our votes are standing in solidarity with the movement for gun control. We are deeply saddened and horrified to see this happen, yet again. Domestic terrorism is an epidemic in this country and we cannot continue to stand by.
We urge you to get informed on the issues and call your senators!
Find your senator’s contact info here. An easy script to go by is:
“I am a constituent and my zip code is ____. I’m calling to urge the senator to pass background checks for all gun sales and a strong red flag law.”

I am an Australian and my question is… why do so many young American men feel entitled to ruin complete strangers lives? Is this a question that is being discussed?
Australia shares your pain and horror. Our most sincere thoughts to all who have lost loved ones.
Gun control works. Too many lives gone due to political posturing. Be strong USA. Fight for what is right.
Gun laws are something we talk about a lot but I’m more interested in laws around mental health. Most of these shooters are in the same age group (young). What can we do to support friends and family who see the red flags? How can we get these young men the help and security they need?
I think it’s awesome that you are bringing this up here.
I live in Europe. I couldn’t imagine people having access to guns so easily. I hope it’ll change in the US, too!
Cut and dry…people who defend gun use are as*holes!!! I mean, Americans got so much serious shi* to work out i can only hope that is not too late!!! And like Saramago said in one of his books : « We are all blinds. Blinds from the reason. The Reason doesn’t behave rationally which is a form of blindness.»
A Big Hug from Lisbon !!!
