I am going to admit something here that’s actually quite embarrassing…I didn’t once set foot in a pool last summer. Maybe not even a natural body of water. I have foggy memories of going to the beach early in the summer and dipping my toes into the ocean which was still too cold to enjoy, and I’m pretty sure that was the extent of my first west coast summer. Tragic, no?
It didn’t really hit me until recently when I found myself spending more than a normal amount of time checking out @alternatepools and dreaming I had regular access to a pool like one of the many beautiful ones they document. Which I clearly don’t. It’s impossible for me to choose a favorite, but this one and this one really caught my eye.
Since it just so happens to be Escape Month, you can find me checking into this Instagram on a regular basis (until I can muster up the energy to commute across L.A. to the beach or make a new friend who has a pool!)
