Lavinia Tam is a member of Garance’s community L’île and outside of adding such richness to that community, Lavinia has her own community over at Wild Muse Journal, and will soon be opening a holistic brand consultancy, Wild Muse Studio, in the coming weeks. To say she keeps herself busy in an understatement. Read on to learn a bit more about her style and what else she is up to!

How would you describe your style in three words?
Modern, Straightforward, Comfortable

What is the most treasured piece in your wardrobe for sentimental reasons?
My mother’s vintage Cartier watch. My father bought it for her when they got married, so it has a lot of sentimental value!

What is the most worn piece of clothing in your wardrobe?
A vintage cream duster coat I bought ages ago. It pairs so easily with everything, and has the perfect weight for the mercurial weather of these past few months!

How do you get dressed to go to work these days? Does what you wear inspire how you create?
A t-shirt, paired with comfortable studio trousers and my favorite Sandro sneakers are my go-to look. I often dress my outfits up with some minimal jewelry, but I like to keep things simple. I take a lot of pleasure in outfits that make me feel creative and comfortable. Funnily enough, the more I can “move” in my clothes, I more I feel free to think, create and play.

Tell us a bit about the projects you are working on at the moment!
I’m very excited to announce that I will be launching the Wild Muse Studio, a holistic brand consultancy, in the coming weeks. As a creative brand specialist, the studio will offer design and content production services for creatives and brands. In addition, I continue to run the Wild Muse Journal, an interview journal dedicated to storytelling and discovery. Concurrently to all this, I also consult independently with Brands to help them develop full storied experiences that connect them with their ideal audiences.
