Sweater Weather

I was trying to think of a funny way to introduce this sweater story to you guys but honestly, I think the amount of food I consumed over Thanksgiving break has actually also consumed my brain. Ok, that’s probably dramatic, but what can I say about sweaters that you don’t already know? When winter approaches, all I want to do is bundle up in a cozy knit. Blouses and shirts get pushed to the back of the closet, neck and arms say goodbye until spring because in New York it’s officially sweater weather.
This is not bad news, of course. Winter is actually my favorite season to get dressed for. So earlier this month, as the temperatures dropped, I shopped… for sweaters! And I wanted to share a couple of favorite styles with you. Happy winter!
First up, the ribbed sweater. I really love this oversized style because it’s warm and cozy, but it still shows a liiiiittle bit of skin at the neck and chest. We mixed in these amazing and comfortable ribbed pants too because it’s sweater season and we’re going for it!
From Audrey Hepburn to Steve Jobs, you can never go wrong with a simple, black turtleneck.
A good, white cable knit is one of my staples all year round and I love an all-white look in the winter (as long as I have a Tide Pen in-pocket).
Everyone deserves a luxe pair of sweater-sweatpants, don’t you think?
Growing up, the cardigan was a polarizing piece (grandpas, nerds, etc), but now I can’t get enough of them. This oversized style is just a dream.
