Capucine

Partial to boyish trousers and feminine minis, and somehow, quite mysteriously, surviving without a handbag – Capucine Safyurtlu is the actualization of effortless chic. She recently became the creative director for Stella Luna, a brand founded on craftsmanship and comfort for all! Happy for you to meet the Paris native who is both stylish and gracious, Capucine…
Describe your style in three words:
Joyfully feminine, classic first and foremost, spontaneous.
What is your ideal outfit to wear everyday, your uniform?
I almost always keep it easy, concentrating on just the essentials. You’ll usually find me in my favorite pair of worn jeans or simple pants, paired with an equally pared-down classic top: a crew-neck sweater and/or button-down shirt and perhaps finished off with a riff on the classic blazer. But the shoes are key. The truth is, my shoe choice is usually the first one I make that day — guiding all subsequent outfit choices. It is never the final accessory for me.
You don’t wear a purse, ever! What’s your trick for getting on without a bag?
I just want to carry with me what’s absolutely necessary: my phone!
How did your fashion stylist job influence your work currently at Stella Luna?
Working as an editor helped train my eye and be selective. Over the years, I learned to recognize and concentrate on the important story, to edit down and focus on what is necessary (never veering far from the key theme.) I was also able to realize what was lacking in the market, season after season—a training that I find is definitely helping me today as I work on creating a selection of the kind of offerings that I had always wished were available in the market.
I also rarely carry a purse!

J’ai cherche, sans resultats, les chaussures du premier look. Elles ne sont pas dans Shop the Story, ni sur le site S.L. Ou les trouve-t-on ?
Hi Sevan, they are Stella Luna!
Love your style

Phone, OK, but what about keys and money?
If I were Benevolent Dictator of the World, all clothes would have pockets, like men’s clothes do. And all shoes would be flats.
But I do like those polka-dot slingbacks.
Oh my! Finally someone said it! I share this sentiment 100 %.

( Describe your style in 3 words not 3 statements.) I’m a man who doesn’t go out without my ” murse “, keys, sunglasses ,lip balm, wallet …….I adore simplicity when done well and simplicity with classic style perfect. Ms. Safyurtlu has classic style.

The women and their looks profiled are undeniably always chic. It would be so appreciated, however to see looks/ profiles of women who are not lucky enough to have that svelte french physique…we may be the minority of your followers, but looks that are paired down, chic and simple but work on curvy figures…sizes “M”… small waists and 5’4″…it’s much more difficult to look great in a button up and skinny jeans, since it’s better to show the waist when not tall with a C-cup chest.
Capucine’s work style has changed quite a bit since her French “Voguettes” days…this is much more feminine. She pulls off both styles masterly!
