A Street Style with Emily Marant

I am wearing head to toe Isabel Marant. It’s no surprise but half of my wardrobe is Isabel Marant. She really captures the French-androgynous-sexy look.
Style is about how you wear your clothes where as fashion is more about what you wear. Style is an attitude, a sense of mixing and matching with self confidence but without being too aware of others’ perception. To me fashion is more about the industry, the know-how and trends.
I think Paris influences the way I dress. It is a city of aesthetic, elegance, art and architecture. A city also impacts your way of living and therefore what you are wearing. In Paris my rhythm is intense, I spend most of my days running around, from a meeting to an exhibition opening, an artist’s atelier to a chic diner. It’s important for me to be at ease and elegant in quality pieces. The know-how behind a brand is also important to me, I’d rather buy less, but buy the best.

Emily Marant (beyond being chic, Parisian, and Isabel Marant’s niece) founded Studio Marant, where she creates art, designs content and produces exhibitions. Studio Marant’s upcoming exhibition, Le Parcours Saint-Germain, is running from June 1st to June 10th in Paris and explores how much contemporary art and culture is embedded in the spirit of the Saint-Germain-des-près neighborhood. The exhibition takes places throughout Saint-Germain-des-près and is centered around The Art of Shape. Participants are encouraged to wander the streets and discover over thirty pieces of art displayed in the neighborhood.
Hier, c’etait, l’ete, le coton, la plage, aujourd’hui on passe au pull a col roule en mohair et jean ? Demain ? :-)
Less of better quality is ALWAYS the best!
