To tell you the truth, the reason I’ve been so lazy on the blog for the last two days is that I am in Paris after two weeks of intense busying around, it’s a holiday week in Paris and everything is running extra slow, and I have decided to get into the Paris groove because, as my sister Sacha, 18, says :
“No way I am working on my revisions for my exams during holidays. It’s psychotic.”
So here’s what I’m doing…
1/ I pay a visit to my Parisian friends, which I can never do during fashion week, cause during fashion week I am a crazy person with a split personality, just like everybody else.
2/ Pay a visit to all the new Paris addresses you gave me. Paris has changed!!!
3/ Ask myself how I totally missed the Dries Van Noten grunge collection, it was so cool and there is obviously nothing left in the stores. Good for Dries, bad for G, late again!
Lara was faster, and she got this beautiful jacket that I am very jealous of.
4/ Do the opposite of diet. (But why is bread so goooood in France? And so… EVERYWHERE? And CAN WE TALK ABOUT CORSICAN CHEESE?)
5/ Shop for my friends at Monoprix, apparently the one thing that French girls miss the most.
6/ Totally forget about Jillian, my virtual coach. I feel like my abs are gonna die when I am back. Maybe I should bring Jillian some Corsican Cheese? (Virtual?)
7/ Okay, I could share uninteresting stuff for hours, just cause I am soooo lax (is that even a word? Who knows) so off I’ll go, to the Flore if you want to know.
And I give you a big kiss!!!
PS : Yeah, obv when I am back to real life, we’ll talk about Kim’s dress at the Met Gala. Yes, this is real life. And yes, I promise. You liked it?

A Lyon, l’heure du verre de Côte de Provence en terrasse a sonné, et il ramène toute sa famille avec : sa copine la planche de saucisson, son cousin le Saint Marcelin…

Pareil, quand je rentre en France je ne pense pas aux calories, les patisseries sont trop bonnes, pas question de s’en priver!! un pain au choc par jour minimum :) Et le St Marcellin aah toute une histoire (Lyonnaise aussi!)…
Quant a la robe de KK, wahoo l’horreur, les photos qui tournent ac la comparaison Mme Doubtfire/ KK sont absolument geniales. C’etait la catastrophe au Bal du Met!

Bon , suis allée voir les bouquins à la Hune , et qui j’ai vu … Louis Garrel , il se laisse pousser une barbe de trois jours , pas mal , je l’ai vu à l’Odéon cet hiver

Ah, I’m already compiling my list of “thing to do” when I’m in Paris for four weeks this summer. Your posts have been great additions to that ever-growing list. You have to go to the No.5 Chanel exhibition at the Palais du Tokyo (sadly, I’ll miss it) and spend some quality time roaming the packed aisles at City Pharma (I get my vitamins there, thanks to you!), stocking up on Bioderma Crealine. (Also pick up a jar of Filorga Sleeping Peel — does all the heavy lifting overnight!). Oh, and grab a new Bourjois foundation at Monoprix – Healthy Mix Serum is awesome.
Oh Garance, tu es super belle avec cette nouvelle coupe de cheveux… commentaire comme un cheveu sur la soupe, aucun rapport avec ton post..je sais. J’ai vu la photo pour ton interview into the gloss…chic et attitude naturelle. pas la peine d’en faire des tonnes. tu n’en fais pas des kilos pour avoir l’air cool et stylé. Tu l’es naturellement… Je suis ton blog depuis un an pile et j’adore même quand je n’adore pas :-)…je te suis avec bonheur toujours renouvelé!!

It is so good for the body and soul to go slow and just take care and enjoy life! I feel that life is on fast speed in New York so take a break when you can and get of the mad train! And I feel that you get more out of workout routine when your body take a break :) And sorry but Kim who? I don’t want to be unkind, but really don’t care for her….

Kim, sujet inépuisable. Je ne comprends pas ces choix. Je ne suis même pas sûre qu’elle se trouve belle. Cela dit le concept de la robe était intéressant. Mais pourquoi le total look ? Puis, je ne suis pas contre les rondeurs, encore moins contre les femmes enrobées et assumées mais l’imprimé ne mettais pas en valeur son ventre. C’est Kim, on ne peut attendre et elle ne le fera pas, qu’elle s’habille comme Nathalie Portman, par ex…
Alors je vais m’opposer à la plèbe mais J’AI ADORE la tenue de KK au Met Ball. Passé le premier choc (quand même), j’ai trouvé ça doux, très beau et poétique. Et avec sa grossesse et ce rouge à lèvres grenat c’était parfaitement accordé.

I am not a fan of Kim and the dress is not to my taste. However, respect to her for sticking with her style while pregnant and for not letting people/the media get to her. I think that’s admirable.

Totally understand the different dilemmas you have to face in Paris: Friends, Food and “Frusque” (I prefer use the french for clothes…Control freak of rhymes…I know pathetic as the Kim K. Dress…OOoooh bitchy spirit out of y mind!!!).
J’aime tout : la veste, la chemise, les bijoux et la photo.

Concernant Kim…Bah étonnamment, je n’ai pas trouvée sa tenue moche, et pourtant j’ai lu la pluie de critiques méchantes voire insultantes concernant sa robe et sa prise de poids. J’ai trouvé son choix plutôt courageux et très mignon, elle voulait une robe fleurie bah elle l’a porté. Et pourquoi pas?

Sometimes you need to just take a break – I went and visited my family recently and ignored my email and, instead, went wine tasting, hung out on the deck and enjoyed the awesome weather, and cooked good food. Enjoy Paris!

Je suis témoin, tu n’en fous pas une* ! Cet après’m, j’étais tranquillement en monde “glandouille” au café “bar bouille”, rue de Bretagne et là qui vois-je passer ? Toi ! Et depuis cet instant, je ne veux te dire qu’une chose : ne change rien à tes cheveux, ils sont superbes et cette coupe te va très très bien !

You know what? Out of all Kim’s awful maternity outfits, I actually kinda liked that dress! Yes she’s totally annoying/overexposed/overrated, but her face and hair looked very pretty with the high neckline. I thought it was a fun way to have out-there style in a less trashy/ridiculous way than a minidress with exposed boobs.
I watch the Kardashians, every incarnation of their reality show, whether they are in LA, or Miami, or NY, or… wherever! I love watching that show, but I do not love Kim’s style. That girl is always trying too hard! I wish we could see more of Khloe instead!!!

I thought Kim looked really cool!! Those gloves were amazing! Also: she took a risk, which is more than we can say about the majority of the other guests. My prediction is that she’s gonna be the next Kate Upton: from being hated to being loved.
Je ne sais pas si tu connais la boutique Centre Commercial, près du canal saint Martin, un concept store axé ‘made in France’, éthique, coton bio ou autres découvertes.
Tu y trouves un super sélection de chaussures (Church’s, Osborn, Repetto, Veja…), des bouquins ou revues, du mobilier et accessoires vintage (les lunettes!!!).
Bref à voir!

J’assume avoir aimé voir, adoré, la robe de Kim. Ces fleurs désuètes et les chaussures assorties, c’était top. Mais je n’en reviens toujours pas d’avoir vu au petit journal un Yann Barthès goujat montrer un zoom avant de son dos qui finit sur son postérieur.

Why is the bread so much better in Paris???!!!!??? I have a great French friend and even though the bread she makes here in Philly is fabulous, the bread she makes at home in France is even better. I always say it must be the water. Anytime I am lucky enough to go to Paris I have an ‘eat all the bread you want’ policy (and that includes pain aux raisons).

Yes, bred and all the baking there taste better then anywhere else, it’s like heaven for the taste buds, and the cheeses, crepes,oh I could it forever :D, and not care about weight.
Monoprix, and Pharmacies, and stocking up on beauty products like woman possessed.
I love that city, and can’t imagine anyone who doesn’t. And in may it’s soooo gorgeous.
Plus Parisian pigeons are like no other in the world!
