Here are three of my favorite shots I took for an editorial in this February’s Vogue Nippon.
Anna Dello Russo is not only a fantastic and sensational style icon. She’s also in love with images and each and every month dares to follow her intuitions and let her imagination loose in Vogue Nippon
That’s how she ended up giving Viviana and me our first editorial.
Next time, I’ll be less anxious and stressed out about all my preparations and so I’ll tell you everything complete with pictures. Everything from finding inspiration to the search for the perfect girl, getting a team together, the trailer, the stress about the weather, the cold, the laughs, the amazing jewelry, everything, everything everything.
Because to shoot in the street for my blog, and to shoot for a magazine like Vogue is a totally different world… And although I love both, I’m learning this new art slowly right here in front of your eyes. It truly fascinates me and brings me to a new place.

Je trouve vraiment bien différentes et novatrices ces photos, surtout pour Vogue! On retrouve de vos clichés de rue mais adaptés au magazine, bien vu madame Anna pour le choix de Garance, esthétique et malicieux.
This was my first Vogue Nippon that I bought and I bought it just because of that jumpuite mini editorial. I was so amazed this was your work and rather did not think how many of your editorial I have missed before that one. None I guess :) Magnificent job!
Les photos sont vraiment très belles, mais par contre les robes AU SECOURS, je n’aime pas du tout, trop de motifs, enfin c’est un goût personnel.

La pierre et la soie ! C’est puissant ! Te voilà donc dans la cour des grandes … émouvant de partager ta progression, tes appréhensions et ta satisfaction ! Juste un mystère à éclaircir, je vois bien des américaines ou des italiennes s’identifier à ces photos mais des … japonaises … ? Impossible quête non ? J’aime beaucoup les deux dernières photos.

the prints are beautiful, the colors, the patterns, and the structures of each garment are completely daring and risky, but work so well. i am particularly obsessed with all of the jewelry, especially those chain-link earrings in the second shot; are any of those pieces vintage bakelite or lucite? those earrings have the same color, opacity, and texture of original bakelite, with a modern design.

je trouve très intéressante l’idée que “partout, femme fleur peut surgir, beauté peut naître”. ça me fait penser aux magiques petits brins d’herbe qui réussissent à se faufiler à travers les murs en béton, les sols en bitume, partout dans la ville.
j’aime que cet edito ait un sens qui me parle : “qu’elle est belle, notre nature!” – celle d’une personne comme celle de dame nature-.
…et je ne me permettrais qu’une seule question : pourquoi avoir choisi cette coiffure pour Bianca ?
Sinon : je veux la robe Jil Sander, on dirait moi en mieux (la robe hein, pas Bianca! Bianca, elle, est au-delà de …tout!)

La première photo surtout est vraiment un collector. Tout est tellement beau, le contraste entre la robe et le décor, cette image de grandeur…

C’est super d’avoir mis des images si grandes… sur internet, ça correspond à une fresque quasiment, un triptyque au moins et ça envahit l’écran, déborde dans le bureau.
Toutes ces fleurs de la première robe (est-ce une robe vraiment ? une toge on dirait !)
je les reçois comme un cadeau printanier :)

Lovely! I think this is the best I’ve seen Bianca look. It’s always super-nice to see girls who are usually type-cast as unattainable sexy types, presented instead in a more natural, casual way.

Je ne sais pas pourquoi, mais je trouve ces photos un rien humoristiques. N’y voyez rien de mal, mais le sérieux de la “divine”, ses vêtements flamboyants… surtout la dernière, avec son air de chat, et l’endroit où ses jambes perdent leur nom…
