Maryam opened her store a couple years ago, and since then it’s become a little bit of a cult.
Dianna was the first to tell me about it – and to take me there – but all the girls are talking about it. Why ?
For the atmosphere and the deco, for the shopping – Isabel Marant, Suno, Rochas and Jil Sander mixed with younger brands and treasures Maryam brings back from her travels… And of course for Maryam herself, but I’ll tell you more about her soon. Her blog is pretty cool if you’re interested in her aesthetic.
If you’re in New York for the holidays, what’s nice to do in the neighborhood is to go to Maryam’s, then go check Narnia, a really cool vintage store. Then you can make a stop at Schiller’s, a delicious yet a little bit over trendy restaurant (which is exactly what you want when you visit a city) that gets a little bit too crowded during the weekend (brunch nightmaaaare !), but is totally cool during the week !

Je connais cette boutique et Maryam est en effet absolument adorable et la boutique trop cool. Je l’ai decouvert un matin par hasard lorsque je me promenais dans le Lower East Side. C’etait le premier jour que la boutique ouvrait ses portes, j’ai attendu une heure tellement la vitrine etait belle et j’etais la premiere a y mettre les pieds. Le meilleur, c’etait d’ apprendre que Maryam, comme moi, est Iranienne :)
