Spotted – but not bought, I don’t know that I could deal with that blue – at the Broken Arm in Paris, a pair of Nike sneakers that make me want to jump very high.

I have a white pair of jeck purcell for converse… I used them yesterday! perfect for Sundays with the family!

nooo! I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to this whole sneaker thing. Though I’m always slow with these things. To me, right now, converse all stars, the really simple, original ones, in white or beige or black, are the only sneakers that come near my feet.

Like it. Considering color, it’s depend where you wear them. For example, I found these breathable bright just perfect for some hiking in Corsica this summer.

Convertie auw sneakers il y a une dizaine d’année… J’avoue que j’avais assez peu de modèles fétiches (Nike dunk, blazer et court force !) mais depuis quelques mois, je craque completement sur les New Balance comme celle d’Elin Kling !

J’en porte depuis quelques années une alternance entre Adidas et Nike et surtout pas de modèles adaptés pour faire du sport :) Pas sûre d’aimer les bleues que tu nous présentes…
Je porte des sneakers tres souvent, depuis longtemps. Ceci n’est pas un amour speciale, mais ce sont des raisons tres pragmatiques. Mes pieds sont tres grandes, donc les sneakers colorées sont un moyen de porter des chaussures un peut different, dans un monde, où les chaussures “normales” ne sont pas produits dehors la taile 41. Les sneakers vont jusque a la taille 43. ;-)
I bought a pair of Golden Goose “trainers/sneakers” just to wear on my last trip to Paris. Most people in the States don’t know them yet plus they are pretty pricey ($600 and up). However, all over Paris people complimented me on my “baskets”. They were perfectly cool to wear out shopping. LOVE them.

me too… … j’ai un pair de nikes de l’année dernier, bleus un peu plus …mince…je ne sais pas comment dire quel bleu sont :)))..elles ont pas mal de succès et elles sont très confortables.

Everyday! Nike, golden goose, Puma. The problem is they are so comfortable it’s hard to wear anything else besides Birkenstocks!

OMG, can’t understand this… I can’t get use to this new trend… Sneaker are good for running, for a lazy day, to go to the market down the street… but when I see some beautiful outfit and … sneaker, it ruins everything… Don’t get it, sorry.
After, converse and “smart” sneaker (if u know what I mean), it’s different.
I’m not sure why anyone would NOT wear sneakers. They are a classic along with flats, pumps, sandals, to name a few. Just depends on season and outfit

Yes, Yes, Yes…. I know it’s a fad … but I am rocking my Nike Cortez’s while I can – with dressed up fashion of course! … my feet are loving me for it …. I hope this trend hangs around for a wee while longer …. it’s a nice break from the massive platforms I was wearing a few seasons ago and are now in storage! Thank you fashion …. Thank you Celine also for bringing the Birkenstock look back too …. it’s going to be a nice comfortable summer!
I used to work for Nike, so my sneaker collection is out of hand. I wear them everywhere- working out (duh) but even to the club!! Do you know how much easier it is to get down when you’re not thinking about how much your shins/calves/knees/arches/toes hurt? So. Much. Easier. I’m a fan of Air Max 90s for the clubs, by the way (because you still get a little lift, and also because they look fly as fuck).
Funny…I and a friend were at the Nike store yesterday. Before, Nike just wasn’t on my radar. But since the neon explosion of everything there’s just no way I could miss them. I’m a convert. I love and I will have a pair of Nikes ( in my ‘hood we called them Nikes as in rhymes with Mike’s) as soon as I can make up my mind which style I love best.

Yes! I bought a pair of blue trainers with neon green trim. I also live in a pair of grey converse that have paint splattered all over them from a house project. They’re one of my favorite pair of shoes!

I always wear snickers (“trainers” chez nous in London) because brands refuse to make comfortable shoes and I like feeling free and comfortable…… So more often than not I end up in trainers only now I look on trend as well (which is great :)). Latest discovery Nike Roshe @ Other Stories. When I tried them on I let out a very strange sound in the store (not to be repeated in public)… That’s how good they felt on my feet and v. cool design too.
Oui, mais depuis pas longtemps ! Je suis restée un long moment dubitative face à cette nouvelle tendance. Il faut dire qu’il faut bien upgrader la chose pour ne pas passer pour la touriste de base (et à Paris comme à NY des touristes, il n’y a que ça !). Et puis après quelques achats de chaussures inconfortables, j’ai craqué ! Ha si les running pouvaient me faire la même silhouette que les talons, ce serait le bonheur !!

I am completely on the sneaker bandwagon.. last year it was a pair of converses.. this summer it is a pair of leather Superga and a new pair of Palladium oxfords.. I have even experimented and worn my brand new fluoro Mizunas with cropped black wool slacks to work (it looked cute).. Honestly I feel more powerful, faster, sleeker and efficient when I am running around Paris in sleek and comfortable sneakers than when I am tip toeing around in heels.. Maybe it is my age (35) , gaining confidence in my style, or just sheer practicality but my YSLs, Loubotins, and DvNs just feel so out of place for me.. Now I just wear them when I cook dinner for my boyfriend, or have friends over for drinks..

Yes! Garance, I am so glad that you have given sneakers (/trainers) the ok. I have just bought a Nike pair and was feeling a little doubt about my decision – I haven’t worn trainers since I was about 16, besides the ones for running hidden in the back of my wardrobe (bought before I realised I am not a runner, I will never be a runner). I am now super excited to go out in my new, fancy looking Nikes. Thank you for the confidence boost x

Yes. I wear my Conversae less and less in favor of Nikes. I used to wear New balance, but somehow, i don’t now. Just Nike, and sometimes Puma. Wearing New Balance makes me feel silly.
