Olivier Theyskens is back in the spotlight after a show that put ear-to-ear smiles on all the editors’ faces, and even more so on buyers’ – it seems like his first collection with Theory sold like hot cakes. Here are a few of my favorite silhouettes. What do you think?

J aime beaucoup tes photos as usual ! Pour les silhouettes j aime celle de la robe + cuissardes+ parka et celle de la robe en laine + long manteau le reste je ne suis pas très fan… La première photo est canon mais trop transparent ! Enfin merci de nous faire partager tout ça ;-) c est canon je suis ça en we dans le vermont!!!!

malgré les variances certaines des matières et des formes, il y a une cohérence indéniable dans la collection

Drapé, légèreté, fluidité, tons neutres mais présents: une vraie signature d’élégance, un poil trop de sérieux, nais j’aime beaucoup!

I really like the white pants with the bit of pattern. Can’t quite tell what the material is. I’m not so hot on the transparent top, but the look is quite interesting.

oh oui ! et puis tout est mettable ! enfin je veux dire, je n’oserai pas la blouse transparente, mais sinon OUI !! j’adore aussi ! c’est pile le genre de pantalons que j’adore (et que je dessine) par exemple…
la robe est superbe et le pantalon du 4eme look est magnifique.

Je vais être hyper rabat joie pas drôle pas fashionable du tout! Cette collection est belle mais je n’ai pas le truc qui bout dans le dedans de ma tête qui me dit ACHEEEEETES!!!
Vous voyez cela me rappelle trop ce que l’on pouvait voir dans les 90’s le minimalisme grungy chicos, les palettes de noires et gris, le jeu acéré des proportions…
Alors! ALORS! peut-être que les tissus proposés et leur jeu en mouvement sont sidérants maaaais j’crois pas que le service com’ de la marque m’invitera faire un tour au show room pour le voir avec mes yeux.
Sinon, les photos sont belles belles! J’aime la façon dont vous vous amusez avec le grain et le traitement des couleurs.
J’aime la fluidité et la légèreté, mais les filles sont décharnées, ça fait peur.
Elles piquent les yeux, l’éclairage rend divinement la beauté du défilé !!
(p.s. : la photo de toi et de scott est sublimissime ;-))

Absolutely gorgeous. I love when sheer fabrics flow like that. I’ve been looking for a sheer skirt but I’m so short idk if I can pull it off haha.

The lighting in the room seemed to wash out a lot of the color in the clothes being modeled. Did you see a glare in your camera lens while you were shooting?
Hey Garance! The photos are amazing. But I have a problem with runways, not that I don’t like them, but I’d much rather see the clothes worn by ‘real’, more natural people…it’s as if they make the clothes seem alive, add them a certain beauty, or add beauty to the person, or both. In runways the models sometimes seem little alive, or are way too skinny…of course there are exceptions(…Victoria Secret(?)?).

what a stroke of luck oliver theyskens is for theory! love his first collections and how he picked-up the look and feel of theory and gave it that twist and edge without turning the whole brand around. brilliant.
Garance – the photos are lovely, as always. But I must say… the Theyskens pieces I’ve seen thus far in stores hardly stood out. Although the quality was there, the cut, instead of being fluid and modern, felt shapeless and unflattering. FW11 collection looks a lot more promising, but I can’t get over the initial disappointment (heightened by the buzz around the collaboration).

Personnellement j’adore le choix du mélange des tissus est parfait !! Bon au niveau des coupes ce n’est pas révolutionnaire mais ça fonctionne à la perfection… J’adhère :D

oui c’est beau mais meme si j’avais les moyens…hum hum..je ne craquerais pas…j’ai prefere Proenza et “le voile transparent” comme ca c’est difficilement portable…
ca m’amuse de voir sur certaines photos les mannequins tres legerement habillees et juste derriere le public plutot assez couvert…genre on se caille…

En ce qui concerne la collec’ de Theysken, j’adhère moins, bon c’est comme ça, je suppose que ls éditeurs et les acheteuses ont des raisons plus pro plus techniques …

Perso, j’suis assez fan d’Olivier Theyskens, alors forcément j’adore…. et les photos sont magnifiques (oui je suis assez fan de flou aussi, lol). Super ambiance ;)
Garance, the main shot of this post is absolutely breathtaking. Everything- the layering of the textile, the underwear- is EXTRA feminine :) This is probably how guys imagine a perfect wife at home, no? :)

j’aime bien les couleurs vives en général, et là elles sont un peu trop sombres à mon goût mais si on rajoute un accessoire un peu plus voyant ca va! ;) par contre j’aime beaucoup les jeux de longueurs…
