If I had to name one thing that I love more than making my own moodboard, it’s exploring other’s.
I took a tour of Aurélie Bidermann’s showroom and just drooling over her jewelry, I spent an hour exploring every last inch of her moodboard while she told me where each thing came from. The concert tickets, the photos that inspire her, some notes that meant a lot (in the picture, you can see a note signed by Lauren Hutton, —Aaaaaaah!!!! Swooooon!!! – I thought you guys would like that as much as I did.) but also where a lot of the ideas for her creations come from, like these knotted gold chains that I just love.
And you know what’s cooler than all that? The fact that she paints these blue turquoise stripes.
Not bad for a pro-moodboard, right?

Tu parles d’un moodboard comme si on savait ce que c’est mais en fait c’est la première fois que j’entends ce mot. Même si je le comprends, il semble que ce soit une tendance, et ou tu trouves des moodboards, et comment tu les partage, etc ?

j’en ai toujours fait depuis toute petite (au grand désespoir de mes parents qui rageaient de me voir faire autant de trous de punaises dans le mur…) et j’en fais encore aujourd’hui! J’adore le côté “bordel organisé” de la chose et en même temps le fait d’avoir toutes ces belles images ou objet à porté d’oeil. Ca devient parfois de l’art! (les cahiers de Peter Beard m’ont souvent fait penser à ça). Celui-ci est très inspirant en tout cas. Merci!

Moi j appelle ça des palettes d ambiance…
Je mets en scène toutes les photots qui m interpellent mixées aux événements de ma vie inscrits sur des tickets ou cartes…….
Et quand je regarde “Le tableau”,
Il s en dégage une sorte d énergie positive qui me fait du bien à l intérieur du dedans…
Quand la magie n opère plus trop, au but d un certain temps, et que j ai pû accumuler d autres fragments de bonheur, je recompose…
et hop! c est reparti pour une cure de jouvence!

I have been putting cork up on my walls forever but it doesn’t look as nice and I don’t know if I can paint it. Suggestions?
Seriously right. Anna Wintour. Love. Even if her 3rd assistant to her assistant sent me that and Anna had no clue, I’d still be the happiest girl in the world. The striping background is super beautiful. Before I knew she painted it, I was trying to determine what color I’d want my background.

Cela fait longtemps que je voulais te “prévenir” que la configuration du nouveau blog est un cauchemar pour les iPhones et autres smartphones. Pour bien cliquer sur les flèches, il faut zoomer à fond et du coup on ne voit plus rien et dézoomage et rezoomage et on finit par abandonner parce qu’on n’apprécie plus les photos. Le pire, c’est de rater la flèche et là c’est rebelotte au début de la diapo. J’espère que je n’ai pas l’air trop “biatch quoi”, c’était un petit frustration feedback qui doit en concerner d’autres !
Ps : merci pour le blog, le ton de ton écriture et surtout clapclapclap pour tout le temps que tu dois investir dedans :)

Hello Garance, je suis une grande fan de ton blog, j’aime vraiment toutes tes images, celles que tu composes, ou que tu choisis de nous montrer, la lumière est tellement, … je sais pas comment définir, mais bon je l’adore, ça a un côté apaisant mais pas ‘mou’, ohhhlalalala, c trop dur a definir j abandonne. J’espère un jour pouvoir faire un blog de qualité égale au tien – bah quoi, on peut toujours rêver non ?

as an art student in my last year I had my own corner type of desk, surrounded by two small pin boards. well long story short, I hated mood boards, I wanted my walls to be left empty, but some how I ended up pining the randomest of things I found in magz or on the footpath on my way there or just corners of my projects….once I stuck a piece of sea weed that I always scoop out of my instant miso soup…I ended up having the ugliest and most uninspiring mood board in the workroom but I loved it and sometimes I dream about it( no I actually don’t, I just made that up).
People are so strange when it comes to mood boards, in the opposite side of my desk there was this neat freak that always kept a clean desk and a “fluffy” cakey random with a purpose mood board…and the one behind me…oh!I stop right hear mood boards memories make me dizzy.

Super idée que de parler du moodboard: cela nous permet vraiment de rentrer dans l’univers le plus profond d’un artiste ! Celui de Aurelie est très champêtre , on sent bien l’importance de sa famille dans sa vie et donc dans son art et son inspiration ( je me réfère aux photos anciennes..)
