Dr. Habib Sadeghi: Trusting Deeper

I can’t remember how I found Within, the first book that got me to Dr. Sadeghi, but I know that the other day I was starting a list of the books that changed my life, and his made the list.

What first touched me with Dr. Sadeghi is the gentleness of his approach. Within was about weight loss, but it brought me so much more that I feel like I should re-read it regularly, going deeper each time. I feel like the impact of his new book, goes even deeper.

The Clarity Cleanse just came out and it’s already on every best seller list. Sure, Dr. Sadeghi’s celebrity patient lists doesn’t hurt. I won’t name drop, but trust me on that one. But I think what he touches is deeper than that. It’s a way of questioning self-care, healing, and ultimately, happiness.

How to / Build a Network

Phoebe Lovatt is someone I’ve long admired as both a businesswoman and a person ever since we met at a fashion event a couple years back and bonded over our Britishness. She’s a freelance journalist and moderator who founded her own professional women’s network called, The Working Women’s Club, which has garnered international success with events in Los Angeles, New York and London.

Born and raised in London, she moved to LA before making the coastal switch to NYC a few years later. Consequently, she combines the energy of a New Yorker with the chill of a Cali girl, all topped off with the dry wit and self-deprecation of a true Brit. She is someone who is not only a fearless female entrepreneur, but is committed to her principles and maintains a level of respect for herself and others in all areas. I thought I’d quiz Phoebe on how she managed to achieve freelance success while building a network for working women…

Pregnant Pause

I admire people like Laurel Pantin who aren’t afraid to have fun with their style. Bold floral frocks, quirky socks, and flashy sequin skirts are part of her everyday repertoire (I am diligently working on adding all of the above to my sartorial rotation and Laurel is probably the reason I’m currently sporting a striped track pant and printed sock combo.) Laurel’s also the Editorial & Fashion Director at Coveteur, which is no small feat. I think we can all learn a thing or two from someone who can style bold items so effortlessly even while pregnant (!!!). I found it refreshing to learn that even a woman this stylish, still found herself surprised by the nuances of dressing a bump. Here is a little insight into how this pro is making it work!
