I got my ears pierced right before my 1st birthday (my mom was so modern) and because of that, I just assumed piercings must not really hurt all that much. In high school, I decided to get them double pierced (it was all the rage) and I couldn’t believe how much it hurt. Not to mention that my ears are ultra sensitive and I ended up taking the earrings out after only a few weeks and today, those holes no longer exist. I ‘ve never considered any other kind of piercing because I am a big huge baby. Okay, okay, you’re right, get to the point…
At the Dries Van Noten show, Peter Phillips drew a thin gold line down the middle of models lips, creating the look of a piercing. It’s a little bit music festival (especially paired with the beautiful, flowery, dreamy collection, the loose cool girl hair), a little bit tough and a whole lot easier than sitting down in that chair at the piercing parlor.
I’m not sure if I’ll be drawing on any piercings any time soon, but I’m thinking about them more now (the same way I always spend a few days thinking about the beauty looks created by Peter Philips). I don’t know anyone that has recently gone for a piercing outside of the ear. Are facial piercings still happening? What do you think of them?
PS: Just for fun, take a look back at this kind of related/kind of not related piercings post…
PPS: Mica, who you see here in the first image is Garance’s #1 fashion week crush– that hair!

Hi Hera! Try Urban Decay’s 24/7 Waterproof Liner in Eldorado :) They also make a silver one! xo Alex

This has been one of my favorite collections so far. Just beautiful. I didn’t notice that thin gold line so thanks for sharing. It definitely adds that extra something and works so well in a way that I just love.
Yes, Mica looks unique. I haven’t noticed her before (I’m not really good at spotting new faces. I start to recognize newbies only when they appear in Prada adverts)). But I’l keep an eye on her from now on)

This is so unique, great idea. Besides the earrings, I’m personally not into facial or other piercings.
Love Mica’s hair!
I got my ears pierced at 13 and I never wear earrings!!

I like the idea of the fake piercing!

I had my ears pierced when I turned twelve (my mother promised me). It hurt horribly, but I didn’t care I just wanted to wear cute earrings. Then I found out I was allergic to metal and could only wear at least 14k gold and sterling silver. Which was fine with me, no cheap earrings for me! Always have worn pierced earrings. No other piercings though.
Noticing nose piercings this week at Fashion Week Paris. Some goings on at http://www.noworriesparis.com. Anna Della Russo entertaining all the photographers

Speaking as a curly girl, I need Mica’s hair! It’s not often you can make curly hair look fresh and modern, but Mica has managed it.
Absolutely beautiful x

Hmm, first the faux eyebrow piercings at Rodarte, now drawn-on lip piercings. Am I sensing a trend here?

Love this look and the show.
Piercings are tricky. Not for me, and hard to not make them look ‘over styled’ but can look very right on the right woman.

Love the looks at the Dries show! Not sure I would be comfortable doing any piercings other than in my ear, but I love how these models look with their temporary drawn-on piercings.
xo,
Josephina

I like body art, so facial piercings are interesting to me. I have my septum pierced, and I do opt to show it at work from time to time. Personally, I like subtle body jewellry, but that is what I choose to wear. I don’t judge if someone choose to wear heavy facial piercings and stretch their lobes. It’s not my body; it’s not my business.
