A Beauty Minute with Rebecca Romijn
4 years ago by
I use a gentle cleanser and washcloth. I don’t use a scrub, the washcloth is enough of a scrub for me.
I start with Oxygen Plasma, which, as explained to me by my very long time facialist and friend, Keli Stone-Urbano, “is a vital oxygen serum that transports volumes of oxygen into the tissue which stimulates collagen and elastin formation, combats fine lines, wrinkles, and plumps the skin”.
Then I use an alcohol free toner.
I follow with a very intensive peptide serum that is full of vitamins C, A, and E as well as antioxidants.
I mix the serum with a powerful moisturizer that’s also full of peptides, vitamins C, A, and E as well as antioxidants.
Then I use a rich eye cream that soothes, hydrates, firms and defines eye tissue, using high levels of retinol, hyaluronic acid, CoQ10, shea butter, algae extract, and essential fatty acids.
Then I use a moisturizing sunblock with broad spectrum protection.
This is my routine, AM and PM, minus the sunblock in the PM, obviously.
My daytime makeup is pretty much just powder and mascara. I keep O-gloss by Smashbox in my purse. I love the hint of pink as well as the texture.
Adopting a really good skin care routine has been the best investment of my adult life. I’ve been seeing Keli for regular facials for about twelve years now. I also love micro needling, and I try to do that once a year at least. It’s very effective. I love how fresh it makes my skin feel. Ideally I prefer to go without make up when I’m not working, au natural is usually my go-to. With some help.
Rebecca recently launched a fine jewelry line, Charlie Dolly, which you can see her modeling oh so beautifully in the photo above :)
Great article, you can tell Rebecca looks after her skin and that a good skin routine is really the best investment one can do.
She’s sublime and so is her fine jewellery. And using only mascara or going au natural is great too, I’m part of that team!
