A beauty minute with Rashida Jones
10 years ago by
Morning: I have this wonderful facialist, her name is Mila Moursi, and I use her products. Her cleanser, a pH balance toner and a rejuvenating serum over that. Then I put on an oil free sunblock by Elta MD. Then I will put on this Josie Maran Argan illuminizer, I put a little bit of that under my eyes. I have a Tom Ford foundation that I use as a concealer and then I put on MAC mascara, just basic and simple and makes my eyelashes look long.
Then I put on Tom Ford bronzer and I use this brand Three Custom Color, it’s a cool company where you can get custom colors made of things you had a long time ago but they also have these really good basic stains that you can put on your lips and cheeks. I use one called Ski Bunny and it’s good because the color is not too concentrated and it gives you a nice little glow. I put that on my cheeks and a little bit on my lips. I also started using that matte/dewy compact that was on the blog.
Day: I always have a concealer and my Three Custom Color stain. I always have way too many lip glosses in my bag. I like Chantecaille and right now I’m loving Tarte Fiery lip stain. If you go out later and you don’t want to go home and change or put on new makeup, you just throw on this really pretty blue-red and it just makes everything better.
Night: I have these Josie Maran makeup remover wipes, if I’m wearing a lot of makeup I’ll do that first. Then I’ll soak my face in a hot towel. Sometimes I’ll do a treatment if I feel like my skin is a bummer. I’ll do a clay mask, like a mud mask from Whole Foods or I’ll do the Dr. Lancer polish. Then I’ll wash my face again with Mila Moursi and then I use her Anti-Age Refining Lotion and then I alternate between her face oil and her face balm. If your face is clean, it won’t break you out.”

Encre à lèvres? Quelle jolie expression/ traduction ?
I like that for a natural look you use like 10 products in the morning and other 10 in the evening! But still, your look is amazing. I am wondering, do you use all these products on a daily basis?
j’aime toujours autant cette rubrique , merci!!
Garance, love your website. Really enjoy your style and how ur present various topics. I love your drawings. illustrations and designs and I just checked out your new stationery/cards. They are fantastic, so please don’t take this the wrong way, but all the “hands, faces, legs” and people in general in your illustrations are white./caucasian, and as a woman of color, it just seems/feels a little one dimensional to me and i find myselff holding back wanting to purchase these designs because they feel a little separate from me. I realize from your website that you appreciate all colors and ethnicities, so I am not implying any (yuck) racism, but is there away to offer some variation in color on your drawings? My sister just had a birthday and I wanted to give her the card of the woman blowing out the candles on her cake. but I held off b/c I was concerned if my sis would say, “who is this white woman”! Sorry that’s how folks talk inside their own race. Anyway, just thought I would ask…hair, features and colors all help us relate to who we are as individuals. Love your stuff either way.
Amazing how much she looks like her mother–just so pretty!
I absolutely adore Rashida Jones! She is no doubt one of my favorite actresses of all time. She is funny, quirky, and beautiful. The great thing about her beauty is it is so natural. She has so much confidence and it is just the right amount. She is certainly a fantastic role model. I love this post!
That Comfort Girl
This is a wonderful post! I LOVE Rashida, and this is a gorgeous photo of her!

Lovely except that it isn’t accurate! That isn’t how she gets the look in the photo. Look at her eyes. Obvious liquid eyeliner!
Lovely feature on Rashida! Beautiful portrait, too.
ps: lip colour envy much?
