I always prefer one piece to two- it feels sexy to cover up rather than show everything. All white is my favorite but this year I bought RED. Try Zimmerman Swimwear. Enjoy!

Uhm, I tried a one-piecer last year. So I wouldn’t feel soooo covered up I tried the ones with cut-outs. In the end they just made me feel frumpy, like I wasn’t confident enough to wear a bikini. I’ve found the classic triangle string bikini to be the most comfortable and most flattering by far.

There’s something about a racerback tank that I think always looks sexy. Those exposed shoulder blades (and who ever gets fat on their shoulder blades?) just look so cool and modern. Check out our girl Norma Kamali. She really knows her way around a sexy one-piece.

There is a navy white stripy mesh cut out one by Alexander Wang that I’ve fallen in love with… But seems to be sold out world wide unless you’re an XS! If you are, I am insanely jealous because I want that one piece so badly…

Hi Alex, I personally really like this swimsuit by Stella McCartney for Adidas: http://www.adidas.nl/cover-up-zwempak/F82809_450.html (it’s the Dutch site, because I couldn’t find the black variant on the international site; the mint one is nice, but I prefer good ol’ classic black). It has a retro feel, but at the same time is also cool ‘n sexy. The cutouts give off a bondage vibe, but in a good/non-tacky manner ;-).

Eres all the way. works for absolutely everyone i know. Plus, the colours and accesories are to die for!!

I’ve recently discovered this American brand: http://www.solidandstriped.com/
They’ve existed for a couple of years only and have started their women’s line just last year. Their pieces are so timeless and classic, using quality fabric from France, Spain and Italy. The whole collection has an old Mediterranean/ Hamptons feel to it that makes you feel somewhere between Brigitte Bardot and a Baywatch babe. The cuts are usually very flattering. No thongs or intricate cutouts (hence weird tan lines) here. I bought the Anne Marie in red, a very flattering no-bullshit one-piece that offers an extremely flattering and elegant silhouette and I can’t wait to showcase it on the European shores this summer. Check it out, I highly recommend this brand.

Alex, when you said you were on water slide duty, I thought of the movie The Way Way Back. Have you seen it? A fantastic movie, with many funny scenes taking place at a water-park summer job.
