The Pinky Ring
11 years ago by
I love the idea of a pinky ring…
But I never know what style ring to put on that finger. Should it be something small and super delicate, like the ring I was wearing here? Or something a little heavier? We spotted this one at the Elizabeth and James presentation. It seems to be the perfect size and makes a cool statement.
What do you think? Are you wearing a pinky ring?
never wore any rings on that finger ’cause as you said, it’s hard to find one with a good size!

Always wearing one!! :-)

Xoxo! Cory
it sounds like a novel idea: a thin one would fit great! :)

I only wear one ring on my ring finger…a Dior..Mimioui …a small diamond on a white gold chain
i wear my father’s baby ring with his initials on my pinky ring :)
The pinky ring is making a comeback!
I still haven’t found one I liked but I’m on the hunt.
I’d rather go for small and delicate or big and gaudy for sure.

For years I wore an ear cuff as my pinky ring – easy to size too
It absolutely has to be something small and delicate. Something lovely, strong, yet finely crafted, in a rose gold. No, I am not picky at all…
I wear a pinky ring occasionally, but it’s a knuckle ring. Baby ring (I have two, both were my father’s) about size 3, fits my pinky knuckle. I would never be able to wear anything big on that finger, it would drive me crazy. But I love the little knuckle guys.
I think delicate rings work best because the pinky is the tiniest finger, the rings you have are adorable!

I’ve been wanting a pinky ring forever but my fingers are so little I can never find the right size.
I like this one although it might not work for me.

You should go to this shop called “Considerosity” on W Jones Street in the West Village (near 4th street). They have THE cutest leather and gold rings that are super delicate and tiny. I bought a white one and I wear it on my pinky. I love it.

Elegant!
Yes, it looks very cool! I love pinky rings when I’m not wearing any other rings, it’s subtle luxury!
We have some very creative jewelry from designers who are not famous but are setting trends everyday with their work…Julie Tuton just made a tiny coiled snake ring with black diamond eyes that wraps softly around the pinky

I wear pinky rings occasionally. There is one I don’t have yet but really covet: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/174303448048265605

IMHO a classic signet ring is de rigueur.

I am wearing the one my boyfriend’s grandma gave me, it’s from the 1900 and it feels kind of special.
I attached my instagram link , wearing it.

I love both fine and statement rings on the pinkie.
However, on this photo the look is absolutely ruined by her messy last-manicure-was-two-weeks-ago nails.
Your own look with the fine rings and restrained grey nails was excellent though!
I think YES I am loving everything about this look.

I usually wear a pinky ring on my left hand, and it’s always a very thin one, because I have small and thin hands, and I think they fit me better that a larger one.
Actually, I’m wearing a rose gold ring, and I love it.
J’adore! Je penche plus pour la plus large…
I’ve been toying with the idea for awhile! I think the problem was that I was assuming I’d want delicate…but I don’t actually like how that looks as much on your shortest finger. I’m going to hunt for something a little wider now! :)

I am not much of a ring person, although I do have a wedding ring, but I do like the idea of a pinky ring because it seems less unassuming somehow, maybe because it is unexpected – although the ring in the picture is not unassuming at all. :) Great ‘mobster’ style statement piece. :)

Lately I’ve been wearing my Dad’s monogrammed signet ring on my ring finger with a monogrammed pinky ring that my parents gave me 30 years ago. My Dad passed away in 2001 so I like having the two of us side-by-side again!

My hubby just bought me a generous and thoughtful push present – a Cartier trinity ring – to symbolize when our family expanded from 2 to 3…and I wear it on my pinky :)
Yes, I wear one. And it is a big bug ring from H&M. Although I have to be careful wearing it, because it`s a bit too large and tends to fall off, if I`m not on my guard.
I also wear the engineer’s ring on my right pinky as described in some other comments. It is almost always the only ring I wear. It’s small and light and I got used to it quite quickly.
never wore any rings

I like a delicate one on the pinky ring. I had one with a thin gold band and a single diamond in the middle. It was a gift from my mother when I was 8. She said, “This is your first diamond” (and haven’t got one since!), and it was so dainty and beautiful. I kept it till I went to college where I never took it off, but I lost it one day. I’m still hoping it would turn up somewhere. I felt so bad telling my mother I lost it.

I’ve been wearing a pinky ring for the past little while after I was looking though some old jewelry of mine! Originally it was a gift for my first communion when I was six – needless to say, it doesn’t exactly fit my ring finger anymore, but it does fit my pinky perfectly! Or I use it as a midi ring.
I wear a signet ring on my pinky finger.I got as a gratuation present
I would recommend sophie bille brahe’s delicate diamond rings. Just perfect for the pinky!!
