Feeling Grey

I debated for far too many days hours what color my nails should be this fashion week…
It’s hard to top my Dries inspired gel from last season but I fear I maybe have lost my nail art passion. Currently, my nails…are grey.
A beautiful, soft, perfectly pale grey. Maybe subconsciously I’m taking inspiration from the fall collections (nails were pretty minimal across the board)– specifically Alexander Wang. There were lots of luscious grey shades on that runway…mmhmmm…
Now that I think about it, maybe I should take another hint from Mr. Wang and sport a marble gel à la Balenciaga for Paris Fashion Week? What do you think? What’s your fall nail color?
PS: I’m wearing Essie Yogaga…for now! The rings are from Catbird!

The color looks really lovely on you – it’s neutral, but not boring. I’ve been going with clear these days as my nails are beat up working retail… lots of hangers to tangle with… but that would be a good alternative as it wouldn’t show chips immediately… might be worth a try. Judy

50 shades of grey….
Je ne sais même pa quelle couleur de vernis porter sur les ongles. Je les gardes donc nus de préférence. Quand l’automne avancera un peu plu (ou sera vraiment définitivement là) je porterai sûrement des couleurs plus foncées. :)

Noir à paillettes. J’ai craqué pour les nouveaux Bourjois ! Si j’étais dans une année “gris” comme il y a deux ans, je serais dingue de ta couleur. Mais je suis dans une année “all black” ;o)
salut ALEX ta manicure tu te la fais toute seule ou dans un institut ?
est ce que tu pourrais me donner des conseils pour réussir une belle manicure comme par exemple le temps d’attente entre la pose des deux couches ? tu vois des petits trucs basics

Le gris est super joli. Les bagues, elles, sont géniales, fines et féminines, d’où viennent elles?

Moi cet automne mes ongles sont… courts et transparents :-/ Je bosse.
sinon, ils seraient longs, verts tilleul, très pâles et bien opaques (rien de pire que du vernis ou on voit à moitié au travers. Eurrrrk !!)
This Autumn I’ve chose a soft taupe (soft brownish gray) from Maybellin! Love it.
I’m wearing Essie “TWILL” right now. The color changes in the light somewhere between silver/purple/green/dark grey. Not super sold on it though. Have you tried it?

Habituellement, je ne porte que du rouge ou du beige.
Après avoir porté le Fith Avenue cet été, je viens de remettre le Exotic Lila, toujours chez Essie.
I alway love Ballerina by Chanel. Chic, barely there and goes with everything. The red those come out on those special days. :)

My favourite shade is Gouda Gouda Two Shoes by OPI but I’m trying not to use it too often as it was limited edition – I also love Paparazzi and Frisson by Chanel and Eternal Optimist by Essie. Currently wearing a grey though (Raindrops by Illamasqua)
Totally respect this choice, but I didn’t want to do full-on grey this fall, so I went with Essie’s Sand Tropez. It’s known as a nude for some reason, but it’s more of a beigey grey..like an “off-grey” if that makes any sense. Probably better for summer, but a good transition colour until it gets cold.

I LOVE that colour! It looks great, simple but chic and basically to me, it gives the vibe that the person gives a damn about their nails. Aaaand that’s important.
You should so have Dior Vernis Red No.853 on this autumn. I’m wearing it right now and if it’s one thing Dior does right, it’s the quality of their products. Their nailpolishes have a longlasting quality and they just…they just give you pretty nails.

It makes me think of Band of Outsiders new collection – the models there also had plain & clear manicure. Also, gray is not an obvious color for nails, I find it quite interesting.
