I first met the new Marc Jacobs beauty line backstage at the show last season…
His models sported a deep red nail polish on toes and a shiny clear top coat on hands from the new line.
Now you know how much I love my nail polish and Marc’s new lacquer boasts a super high shine finish, like you’ve applied 30 coats of polish (inspired by a lacquered table in his home). So yeah, consider me sold. But I had to try it out for myself…
I popped into the new beauty store on Bleecker the afternoon it opened to see (and try) the entire line for myself. I first tested out Petra, a rose gold metallic. I feel the best way to judge the quality of a nail polish is through the metallic. This one passed the test. One coat and my nails were totally good to go. The high-shine effect comes into play with the non-metallic colors. I grabbed a bottle of Nirvana, an army green, and carefully applied two coats. The shine is no joke. You can skip the topcoat.
I could’ve left with quite the haul but practiced great self control and purchased only the bottle of Nirvana, which is now covering my nails and still seriously shiny.
PS: Krista gives the Precision Pen Eyeliner a stamp of approval as well. She used it to get the perfect cat eye.

i went a little crazy….i bought so many but returned most…i love secret love a very dark purple/blk a new neutral ..sally the mosquito green/blk….funny girl a nude….i found the dk red had so much pigment that my nail was stained red….I bought his blush..blush brush…the beautiful huge brush and the tan bronzer…also the shadow palette with the jewel colors…..his spring shows for LV and MJ the make up and hair was perfection…and the packaging is beautiful…xx
