Feeling Florals

Je suis secrètement éprise de motifs floraux…
J’adore l’idée des imprimés à fleurs, vraiment. De la féminité qui s’en dégage. Mais je les trouve incroyablement difficiles à porter, que ce soit à cause de la coupe un peu datée d’une pièce ou des couleurs. Je trouve que ça ne marche presque jamais sur moi. Ce qui ne veut pas dire que j’ai fait une croix dessus (mes recherches sur eBay en attestent… j’ai perdu des heures précieuses à chercher la pièce fleurie idéale, j’ai honte).
En tout cas, je crois que j’ai surtout envie d’une robe fleurie : super toute seule, sous un blazer, un pull, avec des talons, des boots, des sneakers, par-dessus un col roulé … Mais j’aime aussi le côté très 90s d’un bustier porté avec un pantalon. J’ai peut-être suffisamment muri pour me réinventer en mode nineties. Vous en pensez quoi, vous ?

I’m feeling them too – wore a floral dress with electric blue semi trans tights and brown high heeled slouch boots today and everyone noticed, I was the most colorful and patterned on the street. And I felt like a million bucks and like Springtime too. I agree, florals are mad crazy right now, love!
I think florals are beautiful too. I would opt for a skirt instead of a whole dress though. I think you have to be modelesque to pull off a dress. Unless its a summer floral dress then it is lighter.
I think you should start small, like a floral scarf and gradually you will warm up to incorporating them in your looks on a larger scale.

I like these dresses in your photos, but agree it can be so difficult to find something like this.
I follow the blog Manger and Mimi Thorisson wears some beautiful florals from time to time that I would love to steal.
I love the look of these dresses but I just have that fear that this style will look terrible on me, this post has kind of made me want to try it out

I find it hard to find a floral that suits you. I love the prints but don’t like to wear them.

Le plus facile, c’est de porter ce genre d’imprimés sur une jupe seulement. Autrement, ça vieillit trop…
In my opinion a dress that is mid length, with a modest simple neckline and long sleeves is the most modern…but of course, its attitude that pulls it together. I am completely in agreement with everyone here. I love it, but I don’t think I have the guts to go there.
I recently purchasedy first floral top from ZARA. I bought it on line, and figured I would simply return it if it’s not flattering. It is totally adorable and plays nicely with my platinum faux hawk and nearly inch long dark roots. I wore it to the salon with yesterday with mom jeans and a biker boot ( a bit outside my norm) and I’ll admit I rec’d a few questionable glances and an eye roll from my husband. But I felt confident and even radiant!!
