Visiting Nili Lotan

J’aime vraiment beaucoup l’univers de Nili Lotan (elle fait des pulls vraiment sublimes !), et l’autre jour, elle nous a invités à découvrir son appartement et studio à Tribeca. Un peu comme ses collections, ces deux espaces sont à la fois hyper sophistiqués et très fonctionnels.
Tout a été super bien pensé, même les beaux objets qui ornent les étagères et les photos de voyage encadrées… Belle source d’inspiration ! Toutes les pièces ont une ligne très épurée, avec des œuvres d’art minimalistes un peu partout sur les murs. Vraiment un cadre super propice à la création. Voici quelques photos…
I love her sweaters too! I recently wore the softest angora one on my blog, but I’ve worn older sweaters and pieces of hers on the website back in 2010 even. She designs great stuff.

You know by now my affinity for your photos of interiors. But what I love about this post is that it also gives us a look into a designers working and living world. How a designer organizes and decorates space says much about who they are as well as their artistic sensibilities. As you point out these lines are followed in the clothes. This is such a refreshing post to read after all the clutter about sales and now what to buy for Christmas. A post like this makes us have to THINK about our clothes, where they came from, who made them, what the designer believes in, what gives them pleasure, To me this is what real fashion inspiration is about. Thanks.

What a beautiful space! How can you not make perfect things in such an ideal environment? Great post!
A very tasteful studio-environment! ‘Form follows funktion’ is a very convincing mantra in combination with a grand sense for materials as seen everywhere in Nili Lotan’s work. At least I would choose the green sweater, great color.
Can you tell me the black pants she’s wearing on one of these photos are from her collection? They’re great as her style and space are.

Is it awful of me if i confess i like the space more than her clothes?
Her winter/fall clothes look great. Never bought em.
But her summer clothes are overpriced and are thin fall apart soon-ish cotton. Regret all my purchases that i made during the summer( two pairs of pants ).
She also curates some pieces of shoes/handbags/accessories by other designers in the stores. They looked great.
