Pour moi ce serait quelques bijoux fins, du maquillage, un joli sac et une belle coiffure. Que ça reste discret pour pas faire un trop grand contraste, mais en féminisant quand même :)
Mais après c’est peut être juste parce que ça ne me dérange pas tellement de ressembler à un mec ! x)

I think most girls can pull off a tomboy look if they are confident about it.
I love a good pair of overalls or boyfriend jeans with a relatively plain top, that is somewhat form fitting to balance out he silhouette.
Sometimes when you put every tomboy trend together it can be too much and you end of looking like a skateboarder.

I tend to favor the extreme ends of the spectrum when it comes to masculine dressing. 1) walking the line of androgyny, if your look allows that, the ethereal boy look that Tilda Swinton pulls off so beautifully. 2) adding just one overtly masculine element to an otherwise conventionally feminine look. OR 3) looking almost entirely masculine but with a pop of femininity, like a red or pink lip with a severe, tailored suit.

Let’s acknowledge, too, the difference between dressing like a boy and dressing like a man…

While I cannot get on board with the overalls trend (I didn’t the first time around, either), I am jealous of those girls as above that can totally pull it off, and manage to look cute and stylish, sexy even. But? I am love, love, loving the boyfriend jeans. I pair mine with heels, always, no flats. Also, either a fitted top, or if it’s loose and flowy, it has to be sheer, with a pretty bra showing underneath. I think the idea for me is that anyone looking at me, at a glance, KNOWS that I’m a woman (who just happened to throw on her boyfriend’s jeans and roll out of the apartment looking effortlessly put-together)… ;)

Yes, straight leg jeans… Since when did they become « boyfriend » jeans? I really can’t stand that, it’s so twee. Since when were loose jeans inherently masculine? So something has to be tight/floral/lace/high-heeled to be feminine? Dresses for girls, pants for boys? This is so limited.

I was thinking about this just yesterday. After having lost a lot of baby weight, and still in the process of losing the last 15, a lot of my clothes are getting a baggy before I get a chance to enjoy them. I would generally prefer to wear a nice trouser and a simple t-shirt but if they don,t fit just so than I begin to lose my femininity.

I love wearing masculine elements but not sporty.
I mean:
black tuxedo – yes
tie – yes
his white shirt – yes
his socks – yes
his basic tee – yes
those british shoes – yes
last, but not least, boxer as home clothing with masculine white top

but

too large masculine jeans – no
cap – no
« heavy » sneakers – no

Actually I love using only pieces I find elegant also in a man.

Je pense que ce sont les chaussures qui font la différence, et la classe naturelle, mais ça, ça ne s’achète pas…

Je ne suis pas trop fan des tongs, je préfère une paire de sandales (même toutes simples), mais le mélange d’imprimé est vraiment sympa! Un joli chapeau, ou un gros collier peut aussi féminiser une salopette!

Ca dépend tellement de ce qu’on renvoie au naturel, juste avec un jean et un t-shirt blanc, sans rien rien d’autre.. Yasmin elle fait facilement femme et sensuelle, alors le Tomboy dénote sur elle, crée un contraste.
Quand on renvoie du doux, du petite fille, du préraphaélite, et qu’on envoie par-dessus du petit garçon indiscipliné (tomboy), c’est ultra bof (cherchez la femme, quoi)

pour moi c’est les talons….impossible de m’imaginer sans! je pense peut être plus tard ( j’ai 22 ans et est encore quelques petits problemes avec mon image haha )
les running c’est pour courir et stop.
J’ai developpé une espece d’identité depuis des années, depuis que je suis en 1ere en faite, j’ai commencé à porter des talons, des « vraies chaussures de femmes » et j’ai presque jamais plus mis de plats. Je fais assez italienne ( melange corse armenienne ), avec des cheveux longs bouclés, une grosse bouche et des yeux verts gros eins grosses fesses ( oui oui cliché qui peut vite faire nabi nabila ), donc jamais de au dessus du genou ou à peine, decolleté ok mais pas de moulant et decolleté en meme temps, pas de casquette, j’adore mais ca fait cagole sur moi, ha misère… je parle de moi dis donc la vieille meuf, bref tout ce qui est trop masculinisant me va tres mal aussi quoi
et puisqu’on parle des tongs, bin moi aussi je commence à bien reaimé! comme quoi la mode hein, on le dira jamais assez…

Le style tomboy, ce n’est pas trop mon style. Même si Yasmine la porte bien, je passe mon tour pour la salopette. Les tongs, je ne suis pas fan, ça me blesse les pieds donc uniquement pour la plage.
Sinon, si je mets un truc un peu « mec », genre chino ou bermuda, je mets un jolie t-shirt/haut « qui se tient » (j’évite le loose avec le loose), je mets une ceinture (fine), des jolies sandales, chaussures (ballerines ou talons); tjs au moins 1 bijou; et puis tjs maquillée. Oui j’ai tendance à avoir des petits automatismes…

i just wear my super long hair down to balance my largely-masculine wardrobe (my husband and i literally share a closet and always buy things for us to share). but if the look is quite loose-fitting overall, i always wear some dainty flats (like classic ballerinas or strappy sandals) to balance it out.

Oh, Yasmin Sewell! I adore her style! She’s so feminine herself, she doesn’t need any feminine accessories. I wear a head scarf and some red lipstick to add a feminine touch and I love to wear a bra top underneath. For me heels don’t work with my denim overall, but with boyfriend jeans they do.

Étant une folle furieuse des chaussures à talons (j’en porte tous les jours, du lundi au dimanche), je mettrais cette tenue avec des escarpins à talons XXL, mais j’avoue rester sceptique pour les tongs… Je ne suis pas sûre de porter ça – pour la bonne raison que ça ne correspond pas à mon style – mais j’adore ce look !

I cant believe how hard it is to find a good pair of overalls ! Something versatile and not too fashionable that i can wear for the next few years. Help !

I think this might be the summer that my skinny jeans finally get packed away in the back of my wardrobe, boyfriends just feel so much more current, am I being premature (or way behind already??)

I don’t understand the point (no pun intended) of a gun on the clutch. Is it supposed to be funny? Clever? Ironic? It’s none of these.

On one of those days when I feel fragile..or, not so comfortable with myself, I hide in boyfriend jeans or loose jump suit..light fabric overall, too. They give me comfort!
I pair boyfriend jeans with some feminine t-shirt, perhaps embroidered, or with lace elements. I had contrast mint colour tank top under my black silk jumpsuit just the other day and statement silver accessories. What about nothing under the overall but sports-kid-of-bra? Or, cut off top to show some skin? I find it very attractive and definitely it takes away from being total tom boy.

I love it. My coworker is sporting similar style this summer and she looks great. I’m so upset I’m too short for it. I don’t think an-almost-160cm-tall-girl would look good in an overall.

Moi je ne peux pas mettre de salopette, je suis petite et du coup ça me tasse…alors bien sur je pourais mettre une salopette-short ( ou combi-short?) mais voila je fais plus jeune que mon age donc j’aurais l’air d’avoir 15 ans. c’est pas pour moi quoi! dommage

Je crois que je vais succomber à la salopette cet été et ressortir mes marinières (sans copier Yasmin hein !).
Pour moi les accessoires essentiels pour féminiser une tenue sont les bijoux évidement ! Je m’en fabrique moi-même en pâte fimo pour les assortir à mes tenues « Boy-Friends ». Je ne peut plus m’en passer désormais :)

Pr ma part, je mets mon immense salopette en jean vintage sur un ensemble micro short débardeur sexy et je parie sur les mouvements du quotidien pour (dé)-voiler ce qu’il faut aux moments opportuns!!
Pas trop d’accessoires. En revanche, un queue de cheval bien haute pr cleaner un peu la silhouette!

Really like the look, but really don’t get the whole ‘show-a-gun-on-your-bag’ kind of trend. Why a gun? What are you saying with that? Part from that, great overall!

I adore the overall and boyfriend look. I picked up a pair of overalls from a vintage shop and I paired them with a ultra white eyelet top that I purchased from Anthropologie. Love!
