You might remember the lovely Marleigh<\/a> from this post<\/a>. Well, the moment we got a look at that beautiful skin, we knew we had to have her back for a Beauty Minute. Her makeup knowledge and insights are phenomenal. <\/p>\n

What is your morning beauty routine? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Like many, my routine is always changing up! Since moving to LA in 2020, it\u2019s been an adjustment to the dry climate. I grew up in the South with humidity so this is a different game. With hormone changes and everything that causes stress, learning what my skin reacts well to is an adventure. I\u2019ve pretty much had acne since 19 and am still trying to find the causes and what annoys it. But, besides my acne, I\u2019m really happy with how even-toned and smooth my skin looks at the moment! Some days I won\u2019t wash my face til night if I stay home, but if I\u2019m having meetings or heading out for a wine hour my routine goes like this:<\/p>\n

Morning\/Day Routine<\/p>\n

-Wash face with lukewarm water and La Roche Posay Foaming Cleanser<\/a>, rinse with cold water
\n-For the day sometimes I do a few swipes of OLEHENRIKSEN Glow2OH Toner<\/a>, but mainly Skinceuticals C E Ferulic<\/a> and Phyto Corrective Gel<\/a>, Superberry Dream Eye Cream<\/a>, Cosrx Snail Mucin<\/a>, YTTP Dream Oil<\/a>, Eadem Cloud Cushion<\/a>, Apostrophe SPF<\/a>, and for body I love Soft Services Carea Cream Daily Toning Lotion.<\/a><\/p>\n

-In the shower I love to use a lavender soap bar and the Soft Services Buffing Bar<\/a>. Good smells from products in the shower is a dream.<\/p>\n

-I take Seed<\/a> to help with gut health since that truly influences so much in your body!<\/p>\n

–Maison Louis Marie No.4 Balincourt<\/a> has been my favorite perfume for the past 7+ years :)<\/p>\n

Weekly Routine<\/p>\n

-I wash my hair 2-3 times a week and barely use heat on my hair. Lately I\u2019m into Crown Affair\u2019s shampoo and conditioner duo<\/a>, then nourishing my hair with their oil. Having the right haircut that works with my waves makes this part of my beauty routine very carefree.<\/p>\n

Makeup Routine<\/p>\n

-I watch a fair amount of YouTube and TikTok videos since makeup is fascinating to me, and I\u2019m always learning new tricks. I love to start the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray<\/a>, ideally after my skincare routine because it locks in the hydrated glowiness.<\/p>\n

Face<\/p>\n

-I dab some Glossier cloud paint in Dusk<\/a> under my eyes to cancel out the green\/dark under eyes and lightly bake in my Kosas Concealer<\/a> under my eyes, around nostrils and on any breakouts. Sometimes I use a brush or just my fingers to apply concealer. To be honest, I hate wearing foundation and a lot of makeup but I don\u2019t have flawless skin at the moment, so it needs a bit more love.<\/p>\n

–The Fenty contour stick<\/a> is full stop, amazing.<\/p>\n

-Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk<\/a> over my cheeks and a little on my nose for that sun-kissed and awake look. <\/p>\n

Eyes<\/p>\n

-I fill in my eyebrows with Milk Makeup\u2019s Gel Brow<\/a>, keeping the tip sharp helps create thin and realistic brow hairs. <\/p>\n

-I\u2019m pretty impressed with Rare Beauty\u2019s line<\/a>, the mascara is great as well as the lip souffle.<\/p>\n

-Depending on my mood I\u2019ll use a brown or blue eye pencil to create a soft smoky eye, soft line on the top or an all-around eye liner. I also love a glitter look!<\/p>\n

Lips<\/p>\n

-My favorite lip shades are orange-red or bright fuchsia-pink. The Rare Beauty Lip Souffle<\/a> is perfection and I love my Rodin red lipstick<\/a>. The ILIA Lip Wrap is a favorite base and touch-up through the day, the gloss is a nice touch.<\/p>\n

What products do you use throughout the day and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t typically use anything but Soft Services Carea Cream Daily Toning Lotion<\/a> through the day, it\u2019s so luscious and hydrating, the whole brand is just so impressive. If I need a moment of calm the Caudalie Elixir Spray<\/a> is just heaven.<\/p>\n

What is your evening beauty routine? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Night Routine<\/p>\n

-My absolute favorite makeup remover is The Camellia Cleansing Oil from Tatcha and I double-cleanse with La Roche Posay Foaming Cleanser<\/a>.<\/p>\n

-Nighttime is more chill since I focus my routine on a topical treatment from Apostrophe<\/a> that is a mix of Spironolactone, Tretinoin and Clindamycin. I sandwich it between Cosrx Snail Mucin<\/a> and the YTTP Dream Oil and followup with either the YTTP Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream<\/a> or Eadem Cloud Cushion<\/a> and my grail product is the Cosrx Pimple Patches, it keeps me from picking and hyper-fixating on something that just needs to be left alone. Plus, for me, it can get rid of any breakouts with 1-3 days. <\/p>\n

-I absolutely love the KLUR Supreme Seed mask<\/a>, it smells absolutely incredible like a chocolate cake, feels so smooth and airy and makes my skin feel really loved. This is such nice nighttime relaxing ritual.<\/p>\n

What is your definition of beauty? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Comfort and happiness. Beauty to me in others is them embracing and celebrating themselves in any way they please. Beauty can be bare skin or the coolest makeup look. Beauty is unique and that\u2019s something I appreciate in myself and others.<\/p>\n

When do you feel most beautiful? <\/strong><\/p>\n

I feel the most beautiful in the sun, although I could always use more outdoors time, connecting to the things that let me exist here on this beautiful planet! Especially the anywhere near the ocean.
