For today’s Beauty Minute we are chatting with lovely Lauren Jin, Founder of CLE Cosmetics<\/a>. We love her approach to beauty and the philosophy she has applied to CLE Cosmetics. <\/p>\n

What is your morning beauty routine? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Usually as soon as I wake up, I drink a half glass of water and as I move I like to stretch my body to get the blood circulation going. Just some basic stretches and movements, i.e. arm circles, knee highs…Then usually don’t wash my face and start with the Lifting Mist<\/a> and Serumide<\/a>. And on drier areas, I apply a layer of Multi Cream<\/a>. Then I use sunblock! My go to sunblock at the moment is the Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel. For my hair, I usually give it a gentle brush in the day and put it into a low bun as I don’t particularly like my hair down while I work.<\/p>\n

What products do you use throughout the day?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Throughout the day I try to, key word, try<\/em> to reapply sunblock. And reapply Serumide<\/a> as my skin gets a bit dry throughout the day.<\/p>\n

What is your evening beauty routine? <\/strong><\/p>\n

In the evening, I cleanse my face with the Oxygen Foam Cleanser<\/a> twice. Then I let my face air dry, I’ve been practicing not using a towel to dry my face. And I use the Lifting Mist<\/a> and Serumide<\/a>. For evening I like to apply a bit more Multi Cream<\/a> on my whole face, to me it acts similar to a sleeping mask. And for eye cream I apply a thin layer of Sulwhasoo Ginseng Renewing Eye Cream<\/a> with my ring fingers.<\/p>\n

When do you feel most beautiful?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I consistently feel beautiful at two particular moments. The first is when I take a long bath or shower and use my Italy towel<\/a> (I guess a more appropriate term is Korean scrub mitt), but that’s the term I grew up with. And I literally come out of it a bit blotchy from the exfoliating, but I guess it is the therapeutic act and feeling itself that makes me feel clean and beautiful. And the second moment is when I use blush on my face. Not quite sure why, but for me, applying a subtle rosy blush really gives depth to my face and I find that quite beautiful!<\/p>\n

What would be your beauty philosophy summed up in one sentence?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Less is more. Whether it is skincare or makeup, for me, I always feel the saying, less is more, applies to all aspects of my beauty philosophy. <\/p>\n

What inspired you to develop CLE<\/a>? What do you want to give to the beauty space with your brand? <\/strong><\/p>\n

I started with questioning what the modern womxn was and what that means in today’s society. That concept soon developed into this idea of time managing, multi-functional products, and then into beauty. It was quite a surprise when I realized that I wanted to create fun, interactive, transformative beauty products for the modern womxn. I would hope to give intent and thoughtfulness to the beauty space. Every product we develop and produce are created with careful consideration ranging from ergonomic ease to formulation & function.<\/p>\n
