I totally forgot how much I love my curly hair. <\/p>\n
Quarantine has reminded me of that because I have done absolutely nothing to my hair the past three months and the curls have reemerged from their hibernation of the last five years. Along with the grays that have not been colored in three months. Whoops. <\/p>\n
And a disclaimer, that is not me in this lovely photo. It’s the even more lovely Rachel Pincus<\/a> but I’m sure you can understand quarantine has got our production capabilities on limited ability so bear with us while we recycle some oldies but goodies… <\/p>\n But back to hair. When I moved to New York from LA I flipped my hair from curly to straight. Straight just seemed more New York to me at the time. Plus the humidity. Ooof. The humidity. A curl’s nightmare. <\/p>\n But now I’ve relaxed so much about all that maintenance and I’m realizing… damn, why the hell was I doing it in the first place?! <\/p>\n Plus, with the curly hairs the grays actually look good. I won’t go so far to say that they look like \u00ab\u00a0highlights\u00a0\u00bb but they give some dimension to the curls that I love. <\/p>\n I also love that I’m not sitting under a hot blow dryer on a hot summer day. <\/p>\n I still haven’t found THE perfect product but I’m open to any \/ all suggestions. <\/p>\n Right now I’m loving this<\/a> for a sea salt spray and this<\/a> for a volume-izing moment when my curls fall flat day two and three. <\/p>\n Oh and this<\/a> is still my favorite scalp detox and I just ordered this<\/a> because it looks like the most relaxing thing ever. <\/p>\n And shampoos made for curly hair?
