Those J.Crew Lips

Quand Garance a posté les photos de la présentation J.Crew, vous avez été nombreux/ses à vouloir connaître le secret du lipstick des filles…
Moi qui suis toujours en quête du rouge idéal (oui, je suis une maniaque du lipstick rouge), j’avoue être complètement obsédée par ces lèvres. Bref, pour réussir à obtenir une bouche aussi rouge, pulpeuse et glossy, j’ai demandé à Allison (la super styliste de chez J.Crew) de me faire un step-by-step de ce rouge. Voici son secret !
1. Colorez toute la bouche avec le Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner en #50 Red.
2. Appliquez le Hourglass Opaque Rouge Icon.
3. Terminez par une petite couche de gloss MAC Lip Glass. (Remarque d’Allison: Attention, il est du genre à vous couler sur le menton !)
Trois étapes faciles pour une bouche par-faite !
Gorgeous lips indeed! And so nice to get the official breakdown. However I think I’d skip the lipglass, lips melting onto my chin doesn’t sound very appealing at all!

So pretty except……. now that your lips look so great you really shouldn’t speak or even think about eating (ah, the horror) AND try not to smile (shouldn’t be hard because you’re so hungry from skipping lunch) because there could be some red on your front teeth.

I love those lips! I’m also obsessed with finding the perfect red. But, it’s a task that I’ve not succeeded in and am this close in throwing out the window. I’ve recently gone an alternate route and am experimenting with deep Plums (which has been a huge trend during NYFW). I find it a lot easier to wear against my skin tone. Hey folks. Try DRAGON GIRL lip pencil from NARS … It has a bright red undertone to the orangey-red it looks like, so it is actually deceptive and you won’t appreciate it unless you see it on someone else.
Long live red lipstick, and red wine … :)
