The Snooze Button
9 years ago by
I’ve done the mental preparation of my next day outfit and I love it :) besides, I’m pretty lazy and get into that Novemberish hibernation which I hate and wake up in December for the most wonderful time of the year, lol ;)

I try to do the mental outfit thing too. Sometimes I’ll pull something out the night before but that is very rare. I too wash, condition, etc in the shower…never thought of brushing my teeth there too, hmmm.
I try to use Mulitple use products too but doesn’t always work, but the skin are routine is standard and I can roll through pretty efficiently now.
Now if only my hair dryer was faster on those bitter cold mornings where air drying is not possible.
I agree with you, I want to sleep very early each day now… :D
Practice self compassion! Remind myself it is temporary. Sleep more. Read more. Slowdown before December’s full throttle. I should get back to early morning workouts & evening yoga session soon enough, meanwhile, contemplation is an art!
Merci Garance, i thought is was just me! ;-)
I already do the first three and it still takes me forever to get out of the door. Might be something to do with morning Instagram addition…:)

Hello!
I started to reply in French but then feared my grammar is a little rusty. I also brush my teeth in the shower and I thought it was just me being weird so thank you for normalising that for me Garance!
A tickle of ink,

I can almost say that I’ve been doing the same things as you since middle September, but I still glance too many times at my phone. One way to keep me in check is putting it on Do Not Disturb mode – this way I can sleep 10 minutes more, without hearing the sounds of received messages. Since I’m a lazy person, I might even skip on make-up to save some sleeping time – just use a concealer here and there and a lip balm on the way to work. No eyeliner, mascara, blush & the works.

I do actually put my clothes out the night before, and make sure my breakfast and lunch stuff is as prepped as it can be. My commute has really increased this school year and I don’t want to get up any earlier than six! I was waiting to eat and have coffee til I got to school, but it just took one two-and-a-half-hour commute without food or coffee that, when I know the roads are bad, I make coffee and grab something to eat in the car!
I know! I need to not be on my phone all morning — so distracting

Pre-arranging my outfit is the ultimate time saver. From earings to shoes!
Avoid the phone! best tip ever…saves soooo much time:))
I’m so bad at this, I just woke up at 11 and my alarm was set at 9! These tips are great though, definitely need to try and condense my makeup routine that takes up half my time!

In the summertime I didn’t want to stay in bed because of the heat, but now with all the fluffy duvets I really can’t get up every single morning… What helps me though is to start my day by going to the gym, weird I know but it helps! :D

When in a hurry, I can get ready in 10 minutes. But to function normally I need a good, slow breakfast, morning news and blogs, more than half a litre of tea with milk, checking the weather about 7 times before I head through the door (dressed wrongly)… I would rather get up in the middle of the night to have a proper morning routine.
A lot of print but still wonderfully done!
I go one step further and actually remove tomorrow’s outfit from the wardrobe & hang it on the front of the door every evening. I actually really enjoy styling myself of an evening. Sadly, the snooze alarm has caught me too – I’ve had to set my alarm for an earlier time in the first place to fit in all the snoozes! ;)
I toast the bread while in the shower! So that when I’m out I can put the almond butter immediately! & Do Not Disturb mode between snoozing the alarm until reaching my work place – so I’m undisturbed by work texts until I actually reach the office. Of course, having coffee only when I reach my work desk saves a lot of time!
That was a problem until I had my first child 22 years ago and now it’s 6:30 in the morning and I am regardless that they are grown now.
