Oh my god!!!! How theatrical is that??!! You e right Garance, it is like end of the world walk of shame (the model holding her boobies, just hilarious!!!) but the clothes,.., those were the real stars.
I will have to see it again…..
Thank you!!!
that was really beautiful. it somehow felt like a cathedral. I miss the very dramatic and theatrical shows like Alexander McQueen used to do. I felt like it would take you to a different place. guess not everyone wants to budget for that kind of scale. I can get where you came up with the space theme. this weekend I watched the film « And God Created Woman ». the sweater (cashmere?) leotard reminded me of Brigitte Bardot’s character.
Garance, do you know much about the production of these shows (the lights, sound, design, video, general management?)? I try to read about it, but apart from Bureau Betak, not many of the organisations are getting written about. I work in theatre but fashion would be such a rush!!
Have you heard that Marc Jacobs is obsessed with a young girl called Angel Barta? He’s been copying all her photos and designing her style for 5 years. I read more articles with some great evidences on: styleangelique blogspot
WoW : there are all skinny!!! It was actually the first thing that caught my attention on the pic and événement more on the video ! So unfortunately I couldn’t pay proper attention to the clothes : it was so disturbing :-$. What a pity… Those aaaarms, those leeegs !!! :-( The models all look like deadly sick and starving little birds. And with the lightings, settings and the music, the whole visions reminded me more sci-fin movie with zombies or l’Apocalypse… Mais la je ne comprends pas..: i know girls are skinny but not disturbing-sickiiish skinny. I miss the energitic and radiant models that u like to shoot Garance ; designers devraient prendre exemple sur toi ;-)
Anyway, baci and can’t wait for the Pardon my French new episode :-)
YES! i saw this yesterday. I LOVE the way he presents his collections EVERY SINGLE TIME. he makes you want to be a Marc Jacobs girl. so classic. so cool. so serene. by the way, who needs every one of those coats? me!
Garance, I am mostly disappointed with you. I left a comment 2 days ago on this page and it wasn’t published, I presume because as well as praicing MJ show, it also attracted the audience’s attention to the controversial issue of real fur in fashion.
I do not want to believe you omitted publishing my comment on purpose and prefer thinking that my message just got lost in the internet.
Nevertheless, since I’ve been following you daily with interest and enjoyment and in order to carrying on doing so with a light heart, I would appreciate if you could express to me your point of view regarding my concern.
Many thanks and I am looking forward to your reply.
Monica
I have been very conscious lately about the fur question. I don’t shoot as much fur as I used too. I haven’t taken any clear decision on that, I am thinking.
Everybody has a right to have an opinion, and I do leave comments about fur (good or bad) as long as they are expressed with respect to the other readers & commentators & the designers. I found yours was not very respectful.
If you want to rewrite it and be clear and open a nice conversation, I would be happy to publish it.
that was some front row…..who staged the show…they deserve credit….very impressed…love everything..clothes makeup hair…..love that the models looked the same. thin long legs….a new day another look….. Bravo to all
Beautiful show. The lighting + soundtrack are reminiscent of the mood and visuals of certain scenes in the 2007 Danny Boyle sci-fi movie SUNSHINE about re-igniting a dying Sun.

Fantastic! Such beautiful clothes, music and setting. I feel that the models themselves are the aliens, very other worldly. Thanks Garance.
By the way – I love ‘This is trending’.
Magnifique!!

Monica, about your concern.

Respect has to come from both sides :)

One of the most amazing shows that I have ever seen!!! Great job and a gorgeous collection!!
Delightful!

God, that setting is just magical! This man is genius (and has one hell of a team, obviously).
Beautiful show. The lighting + soundtrack are reminiscent of the mood and visuals of certain scenes in the 2007 Danny Boyle sci-fi movie SUNSHINE about re-igniting a dying Sun.
